Hey guys, please suggest some good fuel stabilizers for RTR and some details about where they can be purchased etc. My bike has been parked since 6 months and will stay so for a couple more months.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
I'll check for that wheel alignment when giving bike for service.
And I haven't used my bike for a long time and it hasn't been given the proper care and service. Rerurning a mileage of just 27-28kmpl. I am visiting a ASC and stay there and watch the whole process.
Is there any points I should keep in mind? Which all parts needs to be checked? Any guidance in this matter would be appreciated.

No idea about that but disconnect the battery for the time you are not using, or ask someone to start your bike everyday for few minutes.Originally posted by pcgamer View PostHey guys, please suggest some good fuel stabilizers for RTR and some details about where they can be purchased etc. My bike has been parked since 6 months and will stay so for a couple more months.
I am guessing the wheel is not aligned properly.Originally posted by sdhanush1 View PostI'll check for that wheel alignment when giving bike for service.

I mean the usual service for the bike. I thought of checking wheel alignment at the ASC. Or did I get your question wrongOriginally posted by prateek2210 View PostNo idea about that but disconnect the battery for the time you are not using, or ask someone to start your bike everyday for few minutes.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
hello everybody, i have apache rtr 160 2012 new double disc model. my odo reading is 8300km. at 7000km i poured castrol power semi synthetic in it. which is the best oil for apache both in semi and full synthetic? i have also read that shell ax7 ultra fully synthetic causes gasket to leak, so should i use ax7 or i can use ax7 ultra too? and i have changed my bike's front tyre to zapper fy1(r15 v2 stock). it is awesome. now i want to change rear tyre so please tell me is zapper vyde 120/80 best for it? how many kms it lasts and are there problems of irregular wear?mxs motosport in delhi are offering kn rc1100 and upjetting done , so is it worth it? and last ques is there any special thread dedicated to apache on xbhp? please send me its link? and sometimes i have experienced problem of gear getting struck means when i upshift after the bike reaches a bump it becomes neutral(but neutral light doesnt glows), so i have to again upshift to get into desired gear, what could be the problem?

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
I havent tried castrol. Im using shell AX7 semi synthetic. BTW make sure whatever oil you use the grade should be starting from 10wX, becuase the TVS stock oil is 10w30. So maintain that starting range of '10'.Originally posted by priyank.shishodia View Posthello everybody, i have apache rtr 160 2012 new double disc model. my odo reading is 8300km. at 7000km i poured castrol power semi synthetic in it. which is the best oil for apache both in semi and full synthetic? i have also read that shell ax7 ultra fully synthetic causes gasket to leak, so should i use ax7 or i can use ax7 ultra too? and i have changed my bike's front tyre to zapper fy1(r15 v2 stock). it is awesome. now i want to change rear tyre so please tell me is zapper vyde 120/80 best for it? how many kms it lasts and are there problems of irregular wear?mxs motosport in delhi are offering kn rc1100 and upjetting done , so is it worth it? and last ques is there any special thread dedicated to apache on xbhp? please send me its link? and sometimes i have experienced problem of gear getting struck means when i upshift after the bike reaches a bump it becomes neutral(but neutral light doesnt glows), so i have to again upshift to get into desired gear, what could be the problem?
Then please dont go for all these K&N stuffs. It only guarantees that your engine life reduces in the long run.
Then MRF Vyde is really good but the life span is less. There are persons who reported that it got worn out in less than 10k.
Then the gear shifting issue is normal thing. The false neutrals do pop out every now and then for me also. Get it checked in TVS SVC.
Then I dont know what thread you are asking for when you have already posted in Apache thread.
Anyway if you are asking for RTR -160 thread, this is the link: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/motorcyc...he-rtr-fi.html
But that thread is almost inactive. You can post your queries here itself.
This will only guaranty that you, your pillion rider and trailing traffic gets splashed with all sorts of dirty stuffs on road...Originally posted by neal961 View Postwishing everyone a happy & prosperous new year, belated though
. check out my new number plate modification( integrated with p135 holder) indicators are left to be done. hwz it looking frnds
...
And please fit the indicators before you take out your steed for a round.
Whenever I see these kind of setup its Honda Dio that comes in my mind.
Honda Dio is considered to be a good scooter. But whenever I see their Ads, the actual scenes that comes in my mind are as follows:
1. Lads riding with K&N Filter & producing a hell lot of sound(turrrrrrr...yeah not vrooommmm
). That too only sound, speed is the same old shit.
2. Lads riding without helmets or maybe say helmets on hands or between legs but never wear them on head. They just love carrying them.
3. Lads wearing low waist jeans with almost the pants are on their knees.
4. No mud guard with water splashing not only on behind vehicles but also on their own pillion
5. Illegal white lamps which are the worst for dry, rainy or foggy conditions but the best to blind the opposite traffic.
6. They are not even adults mostly school maniacs(sorry cant call them kids) and so cent percentage rides without License.
There might be sensible riders who ride these scooters but sadly 90% of worst, senseless & idiotic riders, ride these scooters.
Dont trust me. Check it out to believe, so that next time you see a rider with above qualities, 90% its going to be Honda Dio scooters.
By the dude your setup do look good, but for a sensible rider we must make sure that these setups do not hurt other riders on the road.
After all road is not meant for me or you. Its meant for all. Anyway I hope you wont ride with such setup in rainy or muddy watered roads.Last edited by susheelkumar; 01-05-2014, 01:29 PM.---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Earlier I used to give it at Raj TVS, Ask for Shakeel over there. Now I give it near my home, Dhamija TVS
Have already been discussed still answering. People here have varied views on oils they have been using, but yes Shell AX7 has used by many here and they are happy with it. BTW AX7 and Ultra are two different oilsOriginally posted by priyank.shishodia View Posthello everybody, i have apache rtr 160 2012 new double disc model. my odo reading is 8300km. at 7000km i poured castrol power semi synthetic in it. which is the best oil for apache both in semi and full synthetic? i have also read that shell ax7 ultra fully synthetic causes gasket to leak, so should i use ax7 or i can use ax7 ultra too?
Have already been discussed still answering. Till 120 size its ok, if you are sticking to same rim size, after that it will touch the swing arm and effect the characteristics of the bike.Originally posted by priyank.shishodia View Postand i have changed my bike's front tyre to zapper fy1(r15 v2 stock). it is awesome. now i want to change rear tyre so please tell me is zapper vyde 120/80 best for it? how many kms it lasts and are there problems of irregular wear?

I guess "Ownership Thread" means a dedicated thread, or if you can explain what you mean!!Originally posted by priyank.shishodia View Postand last ques is there any special thread dedicated to apache on xbhp? please send me its link?

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Thanks. The battery died within a week of parking[was perfectly fine before], probably due to the terminals getting shorted due to rain water. Will have to get a new one anyway when I get back on the saddleOriginally posted by prateek2210 View PostNo idea about that but disconnect the battery for the time you are not using, or ask someone to start your bike everyday for few minutes.
