Hello People, Here to provide a little detail with My completion of 17k and to seek solutions to a few issues. Until now, Bike has been responding well considering My usage in city and on highways. Pulling up good at signals and reaching & maintaining 100 on highways also pretty good considering the time and kms done. Mileage is between 35~40kmpl, so no issues there too. That's for now, and now the issues.
The issues I had been facing is that I had been missing the pick up these days. Hence for it, I took the Bike for servicing and the got engine cleaned entirely from inside, got the Plug Cylinder head replaced and rectified knocking of engine. The mechanic who did the engine work told Me that the Piston of My Bike is going bad and I need to replace it ASAP, with cost around 3.5k. Now I don't mind doing that if it is needed, but I'm not able to find any issues with the Bike currently. So can anybody point out how do I recognize that I indeed have an issue with the Piston? Also, after this servicing, I'm getting a pressurized air release sound from the engine when the engine is on. Can any body tell Me what might be the cause?

      My Ride Details:
Daily Commute : 40kms, City Road
Average speed on Daily commute: 50km/hr, + sometimes ripping at Signals
At the start of the Day, I ride sanely for first 3kms at 30km/hr, then continue to higher speed
A 200 km Trip every two months, Old Pune- Mumbai Highway, Speed:90~100km/hr
Bike is stock, no modifications at all.

        Hello guys.
I am having Apache RTR of 2012 June model. It has run about 8500 kms till date.
The problem is, i shift gear from 1st to second, and in second gear it goes good
till it reaches at 4000 rpm but after this the bike vibrates a lot and the speed is decreased,
again the speed increases suddenly after the vibrations are done.
Please help me out to solve this problem guys.
Oil service is done at 7000 kms with Motul 15w50 5100 wngine oil.

AFAIK, the RTR does give vibrations between 4k to 6k. And what do You mean by "speed is decreased, again the speed increases suddenly after the vibrations are done". Kindly explain it properly.

Is it possible to identify the Vehicle manufactured month and year from VIN number of 2 wheeler (like in cars), specifically Apache?

              @Mirhawk
This is the reason why most Mech's won't open the engine until something is seriously wrong.Even for decarbonising. There are apache's going on strongly even after 1L km without any damage to engine.
So why would someone open it up?
Reduction in pick up might have been due to plug or carb issue.

My Bad for not explaining properly. I went for engine work after many opinions, both from here and practically. And Yes, I have read about the Bikes going through 1L without any issues, but in My case, the issue wouldn't have been caused by opening up the engine, right?

Hello guys, my bike recently has started behaving in a strange manner at low rpm's. The bike jerks/stutters a lot below 2.5K rpm. Before it wasn't the case at all. It's the similar sort of jerking which happens when you're running out of petrol. Could it be a dirty air filter?

                      Thank you.

When the bike vibrates, for example if the speed at the time of vibrations is around 35-37 kmph its decreased to 25-28 suddenly and again after 5k rpm it goes good.

I think TPS might be the culprit. Either the adjustment has gone wrong (The yellow ring should be visible only when throttle is fully open) or that it has stopped functioning properly (if it is old or if there is a lot of dirt inside).

I had the same problem and both the time it was due to faulty TPS.

It could be rain water in n around the spark plug area.. Or you need to change the plug..

                              +1
                              TPS might cause the same..

Just last week My bike was jerking @2.5-3.5k rpm.. I changed the plug & all is well.. And wiped the inside of the plug cap..
