i thought four stroke carbs have fuel screw so the more out the screw is the richer the mixture becomesOriginally posted by rennycornelius View Postno it'll be too rich...
@prakashmvpa
the ideal setting is 4.75 turns after tightin the screw fully...
the bike will run like dream...
further the mixture screw in the bike is on the piston side of the carb which tells that it is a fuel screw and not a air screw
correct me if i m wrongYOUR BIKE'S KEY IS THE SMALLEST THING THAT GIVES YOU THE POWER OF "X"BHP

Regarding My Bike having "Missing" and "Knocking" issue ,I came to knew that My Fuel-Air Screw was messed at The Dealership(where where I bought,I am servicing at near by service centre).Bike was running lean.Now the Mechanic tighted the screw to the topmost and returned to some specific position.Knocking issue is somewhat resolved.I need to clean the carburetter too may be.
there is a petrol drain screw at the bottom of carb with a pipe(black in mine) attached to it,he opened the screw and petrol from the carb started flowing out,he held his hand below the pipe outlet with the wrist at a slightly lower elevation than the centre of the palm so that the petrol falls down on ground after passing thru his palm,what happened was all petrol fell but some droplets were formed on his hand which he said was water which gets in during high pressure service washing of bike.he did this 2-3 times and then all this missing problem vanished.
try it...YOUR BIKE'S KEY IS THE SMALLEST THING THAT GIVES YOU THE POWER OF "X"BHP

Are you sure that the mixture screw controls the air supply and not the air fuel mixture in the Apache?Originally posted by rennycornelius View Postno......

The screw is between the butterfly valve and the air filter and not between the butterfly valve and the engine?Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!

1-What is the top speed you got (When bike is most stable)?
2-Any good reason/s for buying RTR rather than Unicorn & FZ
3-Mileage (City)
AND Where is the sc in Mumbai(NEED A TEST RIDE AND ALSO SEE ABT AFTER SALE SERVICE)

The stock setup of Apache 180 carburetor is 3+-2 which mean full close the screw and then open 3 times and check the smoothness if not sharp, open half turn at a time and check. Max you can open is 5 turns. Try this when your engine is in its optimum temp, not to hot, not to cold, say after riding 5kms will do.
Enclosed herewith the pic of the tuning part of the RTR180 ser man.

More you take the AF screw out more rich the fuel mixture will be
It's a CV carburetor.
