CV carbs have only one screw that controls the air Fuel mixture in the engine...
the other long golden screw is for idling....
closing it delievers more petrol to the mixture and opening it injects more air.....

maybe ur right but is this pic taken from a video ? the rear tyre of the white rtr has a distinct straight line where it should be rounded and many areas are blurred too much

Well...till now everything is going fine.....
completed 900Kms on my bike and also opened it up somewhat...

0-60 for now is 8.2s and i didn't did that...!!!!
It was on default 9.9s before first service and after i got my bike back it was 8.2s..!

Highest Top Speed i Recorded till now is 98km/h...Stopped myself from touching three digit figures for now...


Everything is going fine with my bike......until i rode my friend's R15...
I found that Gear Shifting is even more rougher then i thought i compared to the YZF....

The only thing worrying me is the tappet noise, tappet noise and tappet noise...

Is there any way to just stop it...???



And yes one question:-
Are there any Accessories or Goodies out for RTR from TVS...??
I m talking about the bike as well as for rider(riding gear...Original TVS Racing one...Are they available..????)


Edit: There is a guy who also own this bike but don't know about biking anything....i dont like him much as he is very very selfish then too i care for him coz he own this baby...Recently he raced with a Scorpio....SUV touched 130 then too this guy won...!!!Now what Happened is his bike is showing the Top Speed Recorded as 160km/h..!!!Now we all are literate enough to know that it is Speedo Error...he is just gone mad telling people the top speed...!!!what to expect from him.....when i refused that it is not possible my frnd got angry with me feeling that i m jealous....!!!!!!What to do guys......???Tell me should i advice him to change the speedometer or be silent...??It might be some random error or what...??

Well but saree guard is compulsory all over India i think so....

If it is the same carb as on the Pulsars, opening the screw will richen the mixture. I am sure about this.

@abhijeet080808:I think both Pulsar 180 and RTR 180 uses the same BS29 carb.

Yesterday i started for college late, say at 13:00 hrs .Kick started the bike and with my friend as pillion we headed for college as it was already late.

Everything was normal till 4-5kms.I wasn't pushing the bike hard and was doing constant 60-65kmph.Suddenly, comes a cracking sound! Like someone hammered the engine! The bike made a continuous noise and then at the very next moment engine got switched off and i was like what the F$#k?

I tried to start the bike again using the self-starter but it simply refused to do so .Next comes the kick ...Heck,the damn thing is locked or jammed! I thought i may be running with low engine oil and it's gone now .We both didn't know what to do next.We tried a zillion times but no positive results. We then talked to TVS service department on phone and asked them for help .Buggers didn't even listen to us properly and told to bring bike down to the Service centre (which was around 10-11kms from the spot including two flyovers.I'll explain the latter part later)

Moral of the story: Never change your riding style and revv your bike right till 12K mark coz thats where the fun lies.And yeah,most important of'em all--Warranty Rocks!!

he he he..dude samaj to mere bhi kuch nahi aaya..except for the warranty part!..whatever he said just aired above my head.It was only after some research and googling the related work i got to know what he was trying to say!

Tell him that its a speedo error , if he doesnt listen then its his stupidity

it is temporary error i think so...


TELL Me if there are any goodies or accessories launched by TVS for RTR....

And The Riding Gear...???Is it available same as in advt....???
