just remembered that the SVC guys had told to call and book service .
Gave a call and they said they have bookings up to 14th of this month and can be taken only on 15th
Also lots of leaves coming in between..
My bike has clocked only 460kms till now..
But by 15th it would have run about 650-750 kms ..

Guys.. Is that Okay ? Do I need to take any additional care in this case ?

BTW I have noticed a small jerking from handle bars whenever front brake is applied or whenever I pass a small pothole on road..
I was planning to bring this matter to notice during first service..
What could be the issue Does this require immediate attention ?
It is absolutely fine to get it serviced at 750kms.. No need to worry et'all.

The issue is just a loose coneset. Thats also not something to worry about. Just a matter of tightening the coneset (actually a screw in handlbar assembly). All you have to do is just remind them about this problem.

    • I was going through my bike today and I observed a few irregular things with it. Firstly, the left handlebar seems to have moved towards the fuel tank a little bit [I have absolutely no idea how it happened]. Next, there's this red colored cluster of 6 wires (under the fuel tank, near the carburetor) which is disconnected. I went over to the SVC today and the guy said said that it needs to be fixed. So I'll be giving my bike tomorrow morning and I'll see to it that all these issues get sorted out.

BTW, what is that red thing I mentioned earlier?

Upload photo of that connector, TPS and TCI.
There's lot to it other than saddle....

+1.The cluster of wires connects the TPS with the TCI but Amirjamal, strange that you dont feel any lag in power or any issues with the socket unplugged, I guess you may have unnoticed it.

Looks like even my RTR ABS has some wire socket stuff dangling around. Will try to upload a pic of the same...

            • @abhishekch : nice pics of your ride!

              UPDATE:

Completed my 1st free service today. ODO now reads 618Kms. Bike delivered on time. No issues except poor washing/cleaning with oil/grease marks. Has been a great 25 days of getting my ride..

There is something that happens to me ALWAYS when I take my ride back from service: it rains! If not the same day, the next day for sure..
It is happening all the time from 2006 to my Libero and now, also for my A180-ABS

              Before service (at Lotus TVS-Erode)

The '79' is my bike's serial no. for service this day. At about 12noon, the no. was '171' How well they can service all 171 vehicles in a day..

              After service (the rain effect):

The 'mud-catcher' fairing and white color wants our attention and cleaning everytime!

As a matter of fact I did feel that my RTR180 didn't quite have the aggressive acceleration that my friend's RTR180 showed . I have given it for check up and fixing today morning, and will hopefully get it back in a matter of a few hours.

I hope there will be some noticeable difference in ride quality

                    Will post my observations soon.

                        • Congrats buddy! Welcome to Tribe Apache

Its okay that you touched the top speed of 124kmph but I hope you're following the proper running-in of the bike and this top speed run was the only or one of the 2-3 speed burst for the running-in period.

Anyways, nice to see someone from Ynr.. Its my hometown.

                          • Apparently there is no TPS to TCI connector thingy on my bike. The mechanic told me today that this setup is what the RTR180ABS comes with. It's and outdated thing and will not be available on the ABS series (Dunno if it's got anything to do with the Stock DC setup or what). I got some other bugs fixed too and the bike is flying now

well its a mystery how the indicator got like this. after all of investigation i came to conclusion that may be a moron has broken it in the tight parking of janakpuri distric center.

                              • guys esp. chicane, garry,drifty- how is the high speed handling of this bike????is it as god as r15 because i have taken r15 at 130 and found its handling at that speed to be good! can you take your hands off at speeds like 125-130??? i am planning to check the top whack thats why... i reckon that the top speed handling can be bettered with better tyres....

@drifty-i test rode r15 v2 my friends looks good in flesh....but lacks the grunt it can NO way beat apache in that grunty feel.......and pick up
