I had no single issue with the bike. As I service regularly. My Friend is A Mechanic & we both service my bike thoroughly.
Changing Bike Oil for every 4000Km.
At 6000K I changed my rear disc pads, but after that till today they are good.
I had a issue with rear disc sounding kin-kee but the it was found that the TVS service guy had not properly fitted the rear-wheel.
I have a OKS chain lube & I lube my chain almost every 10 days. Bike is smooth.
Vibs r the issue but they are less now.
TVS Shreechakra tyres were never issue for me. I Had leaned my bike on the wets & on dry road. It is mostly depended on Road condition. Braking is under-confident but brake simultaneously & slowly you will gain ur confidence back.
And when it rains heavily don't drive beyond 50kmph, brake it you will surely stop with confidence.
Wobbling was a issue as many of them said. Check out if due to Vibs your bikes parts must have loosen. Tighten them. Check air-pressure. Wobbling will be gone.

Just 1 thing I am going to ask..
How u guys check out your Lap-Timers??
I Haven't checked out once. What to see there??
    Tell Me.

Vibs during the day time when its very hot is bcoz, metal get expand when heated & contracts when cooled..Think on this & you will surely understand what I mean..
Hey ojakuls, can you tell me what was wrong with the fitment in referrence to the bold text above? Coz, I too have the same problem. I thought it would resolve on its own as the brake pads bed in, but even after 5k it still is screeching.

Lap timer in RTR is nothing but 0-60 kmph timer. It starts to count once you engage into 1st gear. So, it exactly is not a lap timer. Press the Set button a few times to see the lap timer (Don't remember how many presses from the Odo display).

      2) Few pages back i had written about petrol leaking from the tank underside near fuel sensor. Get that checked if possible or open the side lockable panels and see for any orange streaks on the tank sides.
      3) I don't know about the trr sound but if forks are out of alignment then that could be the cause.
      4) I advised you earlier too to get it tuned by a good reputed mechanic. Everybody has said whatever needs to be said about SVC expertise.

      Hope this helps.
i have the same problem. The fuel sensor is not available at the SVC, but the SVC guy promised me that it will come in a week. OR should I tell him to replace the tank ??

Happy that the problem with the bike is solved, perfectly well
The Apache is ever willing to red line each cog, but the Rider ain't. Enjoy RTR, Safely. Period.

              About 50 Kms.

              @psr,rtrlover,gixxer and every one.
i went for a small ride today morning and concluded that the problem is solved but i was wrong, went on a ride with a fellow xbhpian in the evening and the problem was still there...
Called up the tvs engineer and he said there might be a problem with the TCI and he said he will check it on monday...

One more bad news is that, the last time i serviced my bike was on august 16th, the bike was with the tvs people for most of the days in this month(september), and i completely forgot that the servicing has to be done before 3k kms, (generally i do it below 2k kms). Just observed yesterday evening that my bike has covered 4.5k kms after the last service, i'm scared... will it spoil my engine?
Will get the servicing done by tomorrow.

Sorry to note that your problem came back.....I think checking the TCI may give some pointer .....
Kilometer dependent servicing is only guide line, and nothing to worry about as long as you are kind and not ripping her everyday.

Bro, get the service done tomorrow itself. Along with it, check the TCI as your Mech suggested. 4500kms surely should have made the engine oil loose it's quality (minerals in particular. They should be changed at-least @ 2500kms as we guys rip our rides now and then) and have you checked the level lately?

Now, don't worry, cos you can't do anything about the situation. Wait for tomorrows results. May be the periodic service could solve the problem. And be careful about services from now on. Check oil level regularly too

                      .
Sai while you are at the SVC ask them to check the Compression also...ask them to check for valve seat leak...

                      • Hey Guys...

Am facing some weird problem. I own the 180 ABS. the ODO reads 4400+ kms. I have noticed something lately. Whenever i apply brakes I feel as if loosing some balance at the rear side of the bike. meaning it kind of skids at its right.. I normally use 60-70% of the front brake and 30-40% of the rear brake.

any idea what can be the reason? The Guys at SVC had once loosened and tightened the rear tyre main nut once and tightened the chain a bit.

                        the tyre pressure is ok.

check the rear wheel alignment... with the swingarm. Sometimes the alignment indicator near the axle nut might be off...

False neutrals exist but they are very very rare.
Tyres are tubeless and are indeed TVS Srichakra
                            No DC electricals I think
                            Thanks bharadwaj!!

Tyres, yes they're tubeless. In the ABS version, I don't exactly know if they've changed the tyres or not. Some people say yes they're changed but to me, it doesn't make any sense. Reason being that "skidding" is the reason for which the Srichakra tyres are being disliked. But with the ABS, the wheels aren't gonna get locked, so, the skidding won't happen (With the ABS module switched ON, obviously )

Yes, the ABS version got fully DC electricals.

About the A.S.S. (after sales service is what I wrote ), I think the Mum/Pune guys can comment better.
Thanks a ton bro!! Made it a lot easier!!

In my case the mech tightened the fuel gauge screws at the bottom of the tank and after rubbing away the orange streaks I made a marking on that area with permanent marker to check if leakage reoccurs.
The mech said if the leakage persists they would replace the tank but thankfully it has not returned.
