    • Nice Review Manan, Involving.

If not for my thirst for a bigger bike this would have been my choice too. Have still not driven the 180 but after reading all this i want to do it.

And yeah, whats the mileage like ?

one more thing i noticed yesterday about the RTR is that the panel lights actually just artificially blink when you are starting the bike.

You still havent..Please do the needful.Waiting for your review.

The 180 is yet to arrive in my city.It will take at least 10-12 more days for the bike to appear in the showrooms.

The biggest hurdle seems to be the fact that i dont have a bike. I have to go every where in my car and there is no car parking near Megdooth motors. Ill do it this weekend any how.

I have to find some reason to get relieved for half a day now.

          • very nice & involving review, yup on the trip i saw you suddenly disappeared,......now it`s the need for speed , which these RTRs have, it`s very difficult to keep the bike on low speed & yes rtr 180 in any gear any rpm will move like a rocket on slightest twist of throttle unlike it`s friend with plastic surgery{though game begins there after 7k rpm}
one thing , actually two things tvs forget again in this bike is 6th gear & removal of vibrations from clipon handle bars

            • Nice review Manan. I booked my Menace yesterday but the opposite thing happened to me. I went to book the titanium grey but changed to white at the last minute (the only grey they had was a test ride vehicle and I wanted one immediately so got a white). I should be able to get it post registration, today evening

had been to jc road day before, bought philips crystal vision (55/60) and K&N filter for my white menace. The lamps are pretty good compared to the stock, better illumination and spread. Could not find the nightbreakers anywhere. The mechanic who fitted the filter has tuned it to higher RPM, so now im revving it a little more than what i used to, but the notes are a lot more meatier than before specially after 3K range.
Me and Kimikid have planned to go on a long ride to Masinagudi next weekend!!!(Yipeee) So wanted to ask you guys as to the precautions to be taken on a long ride.(Have got spare clutch cable, spark plug and tubeless puncture kit)
do write abt difference in power of the bike after K&N filter .
using these filters requires doing complex stuff like rejetting & neddle adj
and what tuning did the mechanic do

                        73400 INR in Kolkata

the bike is more refined than the 160 version, but still have some problems

i was looking for a new bike, so went to sc for a test drive, as the sc guys knows me well, they left me alone with the bike, took a ride for good 20 mins. First impression was it has more low end tourque than the previous one. Is the thump of 160fi missing ? or i may be wrong. It handles pretty well in traffic. Rest are almost covered by Manan. the white color look stuning.

Now the braking part, the rear tubeless tyre are far more good then they 160 version, the braking system has imporved.

Still vibration is left, i felt it at 4.5K rpm, i was really looking forward to it.

Overall a very good bike, far more better than any 180 or may be more

But still for some reasons i aint buying this bike.

                          sir ..,
                          what about the vibrations

and no offense but rtr would not give experience of a comet
                          then why for rtr
because of mileage or comet is not a city bike ???
See I have always been in the favor of this much of vibrations in the bike, it actaully gives you the feeling of involvement with the bike. Moreover when we say comet vs RTR it's anyways of two different leagues.

You are actually thinking on the right track, but I would still say please test ride all those bikes that you are considering for buying.

Well a person who is actually looking for power and performance should not be thinking about fuel efficiency, still as you have asked I must say it is quite decent, I have attained good 45-50kmpl efficiency.

I think 6 gear is actually not required, else we would have lost that fun and feel of involement with the bike once reaching the 6th Gear than we would have again started cribbing that bike in not involving enough. And as far as my knowledge goes it is not actually the engine vibes, these are the mechanical vibes (i'll try to get the actual reasons from the source)

Cool!!! White is anytime better color to buy, I always wanted to buy 1, but as I have already stated why I have got the grey color, and I believe you and all would agree with me on my decision. As you have seen the Grey 180 you must have noticed the difference in the color finish which totally a new kind of color for any bike.

oh if you think that way about vibrations then its fine

but it does vibrate which i dont like

and i was asking the reason to go for rtr even when u own a comet
probably that could have brought out a feature which rtr has and comet does not

                              comparing was not my intention
