Moreover PSD is being sold for more than 4-5k which I dont think is worth it (Used to cost around 3k a year back). I would mostly go for dual purpose tyres next time. Currently running on Vyde and it has done 12k kms.

@aditya_iyer : Of course it is working Even I saw that bulb life is shorter than regular bulbs but it should easily last more than a year or two.
How is the vyde grip wise in cornering and high speed stability ?

any Idea which shop sourced you MT75? note PSD are made in 90/90 and 110/80 but just like MT75 they are not sold officially .(That is the reason I was asking for your source of your MT75 if he can deliver a MT75 then he might be able to deliver PSD also)

PSD rear tyre is not available in those sizes for 17 inch.. at least officially! (You can check here MOTORCYCLE - Sport Demon - PIRELLI INDIA) Got MT75 from Millivision tyre store in Blore.

I have no complaints with Vyde at all, and I would recommend such medium compound tyres for our Indian roads unless you are really into cornering.

Take a look at this
SPORT DEMON , Motorcycle Tyres - Car Tyres, Motorcycle Tyres, Truck Tyres, Motorsport tyres - PIRELLI INTERNATIONAL

Yes as i ahve mentioned they are not officially available in India

----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

In Ninja 250 Forum I found that average life of MT75 is 11k and that of PSD is 14k . I dont mind shelling 8-9k for a pair (both front and read tyre ). I was willing to change the rear Wheel to R15 V2 and then put r15V2 rubber but Sadly I heard that it is not possible as the 130 tyre would touch the swing arm (The total cost was something like 10k) .

I have been using Vyde for 12k kms now and it is still decent, would go upto 15k without trouble I guess.

done bleeding the brake and its better now @everyone: one thing that has been there when i used rubber brake hose or steel braided hose is that when the bike is stationery and I press the front brake lever, it is not a smooth action. There is a jerking action at the lever :O The lever play is supposed to be one smooth motion but in my case it aint smooth and there are continuous jerks while pressing the front brake lever. Not been able to figure out the cause for this. And this is observed while the bike is stationery and when I am braking to a halt. Any idea on this anyone?

Imagine the osm possibilities like you can with such a setup:
You can have your own google map inside you speedometer so that you don't need to carry yours or drain your phone batteries.
You can save your vehicle papers as pdf format inside the system memory.
You can save your songs and use bluetooth which will connect to your bluetooth headphone and hear songs while you can preserve the battery of your phone.
You can track your vehicle & disable the engine (with an encrypted password) under theft situation provided they don't remove the battery
Also there can be an app which will show your friends current map position, so that no one is left behind while going in long trips.
You can also save the vehicle performance details as well as user experience in a cloud which the TVS company can verify for their future improvements.

There are still more things that can be added....
TVS would have been the first company in the whole world who must have come with all these under one platform.

But then whats the point...As usual I feel they shelved the project because its already 2~3 years since I heard this project and so far if they havent come means its useless and the TVS think-tank have shelved it.
The Android OS idea would have been really nice.

@ALL By reading those tire related comments, Im having some doubts. I mean I feeling like ALL-Terrain tires are not that good when it comes to cornering. Is that right???

The brake lever not operating smoothly is nothing but lack of lubrication caused by a stupid design by TVS. A quick fix is to spray a little wd40 at the joint where the lever meets the yoke and the bolt goes through it. A longer lasting solution is to remove first the bolt, then the lever, completely clean the bolt, lever and inside of the yoke, then grease the parts that have friction and reassemble.

I have heard that it doesnt give good confidence like those of street tires in terms of cornering.
Im not talking about hard core cornering where you rub your knee guards.

Thanks for the reply For lubrication I dont have grease, will chain lube do? And removing the brake lever is done by just removing the bolt and nut right? Theres nothing to do with the place where the lever meets the master cylinder?
everyone: after 3 days and 200 km of running on tvs oil which was put during 3rd free service on last monday I decided to change the oil to shell ax7. So I bought the oil filter and went to the shell petrol station and asked him to change it. When he drained the tvs oil, both of us were shocked! The oil was flowing out like water gushing out of a tap and that too only 200km old oil. (Engine had probably just reached optimum temperature). Once he collected it in a pan I told him to change the oil filter. When he opened the oil filter chamber, the old oil filter was like someone had damaged it. :what: the old oil filter had almost disintegrated and it was removed part by part ( first the metal cover then half of the yellow portion of the filter, then the inside perforated steel portion of the filter then the other half of the yellow filter and then the metal cover on the other side which was stuck inside wall of the chamber!! )
wonder what they did to my bike during servicing :banghead:
During this process a little oil got splashed on the outside of the engine. After changing oil I rode about 10km with the new oil and noticed that there were fumes coming from the front portion of the engine and very small amounts of oil were seeping out from various places :what:
I'm yet to check the engine oil level. Engine is performing alright except for a slight tappet noise which is slowly resurfacing after the previous adjustment 3000km ago!

Chain lube is a little too thin but it'll do till the problem resurfaces, when you will have to reapply. An easier way would be to go to a local mech, and ask him to remove, clean and grease the parts. Removal is as you have mentioned, nothing where it touches the master cylinder piston.

Hello guys,

I'm looking for a tyre replacement for my near-four-year Apache RTR 180. I've seen quite a few threads regarding this, and most of them suggest Pirelli Speed Demon. I didn't come upon a dealer who stocks this particular one. Do you guys know any dealer in Pune who stocks these? And anyone here used it on their RTRs share their experience and a photo if possible? What other tyre models do you guys suggest? I don't care about the life of the tyre, i just want to have the max grip possible, since in many cases i've fishtailed in the current tyres at the time of braking..
