Me too go for Tristar TVS for services. I normally consult one Mr. Lokesh. So far the experience has been good (not excellent).
Atleast for the free services do it in authorised TVS SVC. After that you can try other local mechanics if you are not satisfied.
Also all companies after sale services are not that good unless you are some premium customer.
So dont expect too much from anyone. Expect the basic stuffs and you will be happy.
If you have the time & money then go for ABS version.

Agree with your post, but how does time play a part in buying an ABS equipped bike?
      Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

If he is not in urgent for the bike and he is ready to wait till he gets the salary, so that he can add on to whatever savings he has made for the bike then its worth the wait is what I meant.

So now you have a complete set of new stock engine.
                      Happy Valentines day riding..

By the way is it okay to use RTR-180 17" rear alloys instead of 18" stock. The 18" alloys of RTR160 are Tube-Type rims & I wanna shift to TL tires.Im thinking if I change to 17" will it effect the ergonomics or handling of the bike.I heard the old setup of 17"+18"(front+rear) are more good than the current 17"+17" inch setup when it comes to handling. Any truth in it??

I used tubeless tyres on my 2009 RTR 160 after OEMs died. Those 18" alloys were just 1" bigger but were of same type as on new model.

I read somewhere very long back by one of our RTR user(dont know if i read in some other forum) who plonked TL tires on TT rims and had a dreadful experience in middle of a ride.
Luckily nothing happened to him. I think the rim of TT & TL are bit different. TL rims are designed in such a way on the edges that it help in bonding with the side-wall grooves of the TL tires. So imagine going in pretty good speed and your tires get removed from the rims. Thats a big danger which can kill you. I dont want to take that risk. Thats why I thought of changing to RTR-180 17" alloys. Dont know how much it might cost? Also feeling concerned whether it will effect the handling of my RTR-160 due to change in rim size.

@Abishek94 : If done in correct way , opening the head wont effect anything.
Cost would be only of labour if I know correct.
