Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Is it true that the engine of the newer version rtr runs cooler than the previous version as claimed by tvs?

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
I disassembled the front brake lever completely and did as you said. I used 20w40 mineral oil for lubrication though! Later i Went for a ride and I could feel the difference the lubrication made!Originally posted by julianpaul View PostThe brake lever not operating smoothly is nothing but lack of lubrication... then grease the parts that have friction and reassemble.
After bleeding and lubrication the braking is top notch now!

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Nope if you consider the cowl stuff but they did tweak the engine which had some cases of overheating due to either faulty engine or break-in but other than that, engine temps mostly seem either identical or 10 degrees hotterOriginally posted by Abishek94 View PostIs it true that the engine of the newer version rtr runs cooler than the previous version as claimed by tvs?

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Btw, I replaced the rear number plate illuminating lamp with the white led ones which come with the d200!
(consumes lesser power than the normal bulbs and the bluish white light looks better )

Fibre parts? Did you change the plastic around the speedometer? The one with the faux carbon fibre finish?Originally posted by shahbaz63 View Postprateek220 - Sure man... Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Durvesh, thank you for replying.. i can see Michelin Pilot Sporty with a 120/80-17" at findTyre - motorcycle.michelin.in. Are these soft compounds?Originally posted by Durvesh_RTR View PostI am also looking for the same by the way If you want best Grip then Perilli MT75 are true softcompound stiky tyres but hard to source PSD are hybrid .
I have two tyres in mind.
Perilli MT75(use S rated not P rated) S rated tyres are rated for use upto 180km/hr .
MICHELIN Pilot Sporty
And would 120 be a direct fit for RTR 180? Another tyre which I saw recently was MRF Zapper Vyde, but I'm not sure if its a soft compound and if it would be a direct fit for RTR 180.
Thank you,
Vimal
