Oh, how does it affect the performance? Handling and road grip has improved?Originally posted by Chris2292 View PostIam already running upsized tires only . The zapper vyde
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
Since it has a lesser profile than the stock at 120/80 , i did not notice any performance lags, actually to say there was a slight increase in pickup and mileage too and the rear seat height would also increase to a bit. Handling is at its best, i find it way better to corner with the Vyde and if you have an ABS model you would feel better stopping power with the Vyde. Only problem is ,its hard to push in the rear tyre while installing it.Originally posted by srinath2494 View PostOh, how does it affect the performance? Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
When I sold my bike at this ODO, Clutch Plate was still stock.Originally posted by prateek2210 View Post50k kms and still on stock, you need to get then changed, please follow the manual and service coupan for what parts needs to be replaced or changed.
By the way the list is in my signature, do have a look
After 5 years of ownership, the only part where Rust was starting to show was the Starting part of silensor(where you get the most mud splash). Comparing it with the CBR, there is rust within 2 years at almost everywhere- Handlebar, silensor, Frame, Even lower part the Tank. Thats why I swear by the quality TVS provides in the RTR. Shame, there is no upgrades available from its stable.

Doesn't the stock come with 110/80? and what do you mean by lesser profile? The tyres look cooler too!

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
My bad , i switched the stock tyres very soon :P i did not remember that it was 110/80 , anyway if i am correct even with the 120/80 the contact patch of the tyre remains the same and hence there wont be any performance lag(Experts please do correct me if i am wrong), but i do feel the extra weight of the tyre puts some strain on my chain sprocket.Originally posted by srinath2494 View PostDoesn't the stock come with 110/80? and what do you mean by lesser profile? Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Hey guys, Nearly a K kms done on the Odo. Bike's running good, but still a little Harsh!
I'm now officially allowed to go long distances and rip her Hard, right?
Had a doubt.
I've bought the Non-ABS model, which has a AC Circuitry. Can i ask the ASC guys to fit the wiring and Stator off the ABS model, if I want to switch to full DC, without voiding my warranty?
And has anyone tried the Philips Crystal Vision/ Osram Night Breakers 35/35W?
Are they good?
I want to swap the stock halogens since I'm not Inspired to ride too much at night and also because they'll Match the Hue of the LEDs. :P

Okay, I have no clue about whats the contact area and all. But I feel this bike can have wider tyres like R15, CBR and FZ :/

http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/universa...805-tyres.html . Check this thread for more information on tyre sizing . You can upsize til 120/80 on the RTR , beyond that you would need to remove your drivechain guard(cover) .130/80 would be overdoing it .Originally posted by srinath2494 View PostOkay, I have no clue about whats the contact area and all. Let me rephrase it. I must have said, 'Wish this bike got an update with wider tyres like r15, fz and cbr'. Damn, I mistyped about its ability.Originally posted by Chris2292 View Posthttp://www.xbhp.com/talkies/universa...805-tyres.html . Check this thread for more information on tyre sizing .
