      • Rode A180(Non-ABS)

Today I test rode A180. The accelaration was awesome. Could just take it upto 80km/hr due to traffic. Didnot find any vibrations that would really bother. In short, I loved the way it behaved, quite punchy nand responsive.

I am trying to make my mind between A180 & P220. Have not riden P220 yet. Would do so soon. After ridding A180, a confusion has got into me.

        What to do???????????????

tag line for apache should be :
No one can ride just once ! , dude decide on points like for what purpose you will be using and also look for SC s nearby etc based on these decide b/w the two.

I had booked the carb 220 and then cancelled and bought RTR 180, because of the waiting of 1 month. But honestly im glad that this happened after riding my friends 220. 220 has better road prescence and better on the top speed i.e. highway. But if you enjoy riding ....mainly fast...RTR will give you more confidence. This bike has a different character all together. Excellent brakes, cornering ability and feels rugged.

            My 2 cents....Vivek.

IMO....if you are a person who loves going on a long ride often...then P220..otherwise...if u are more of a city rider..then hands down RTR 180...

RTR 180 sitting posture may hurt u on a long ride....(depends on your height)..and u wont be getting the top end power of the P220 ! ! !

But for city ride....I feel u cant get a better bike than this(@same or below price tag) to manouver in traffic...and enough top end for an empty strech, to feel the rush ! ! !...

              flickability,weight distribution,braking...awsome ! ! !..i wld have mentioned accelaration too..but as P220 is in contention here...so its baseless ! ! !

                        • Another crash!

Lucky to escape with minor bruises to both bike and self

I was accelerating while climbing a flyover. Was trying to overtake a vehicle from left (My fault but he was driving slow on right lane ) when he suddenly accelerated and left me with no space (there was a bus in my lane). I grabbed the brakes (only front I think) and the tyre just gave away... and both the bike and I went screeching on the tarmac. Felt nothing at all... Guess all I could do was slide. Thankfully, the vehicles behind had stopped and one kind gentleman in a bike helped with with the bike and all.

Bruised my knees and elbows... torn jeans and gloves and jacket. I don't think my helmet hit the ground... My clothing saved me from more damage.

Regarding the bike, bent leg-guard, broken visor, broken gear shift lever, and something wrong with the front and rear shockers.

I rode with minimum gearshifts to the SC (a 45 min ride ). I have just temporarily patched up the bike (replaced the gear shifter) and shall do the other work next week (claim insurance I guess).

I have braked worse than this before, I have no idea why the tyres gave away (thinking about changing them now)

and 0to60 4.9 sec . no abs test was done just telling about the bike characteristic.
