ya the warranty is 2 years..i got a confirmation on that..rest not sure..what exactly it is...and i have given it to a local mechanic..i hope those service guys dont find out...
If the problem is with one way clutch than by taking out the one way clutch assembly will help you in kick start it and you can atleast go to SVC.
In my case as it was within the very first month they sent a mech who took out the one way clutch assembly and ride the bike to SVC.
I got her after a week in healthy condition.

And this thing doesnt happens if I run the bike with headlight off.

I am having this problem since gear bearing work done on the bike.
The SVC people have replaced the complete engine cutoff switch unit and it did work ok for sometime but now it has again starting giving up the same problem.

Guys any suggestions, whats going on wrong here?
      Thanks for the help

I'd advise you not to take the risk.. take it to the SVC and you'll get it repaired under warranty with expenses for only small small things...

        • Hi guys, just crossed 6000 km's on my ride Going very well indeed

Which shampoo do you guy's use for washing your bike's? I use lakerol now, but want to switch to a better one. Can you suggest me a good brand. Also i plan to buy Tvs griling brake cleaner. How should i use it? Can it be applied from the outside itself ?
Any suggestion would be much appreciated
The Apache is ever willing to red line each cog, but the Rider ain't. Enjoy RTR, Safely. Period.

The local mech opened up the panel..and he said..there was some loose fittings near magnet..because of which gradually it got loosened up..and some parts got tangled with the coils inside...eventually turns out to be a total mesh with some broken parts...damn these TVS guys have to ramp up their quality..how can they do some fitting like this and not check it...while assembling the bike....newazzz i have to load it on a tempo traveller and take it to svc..and see by myslef how bad it is...
Nothing feels better than to gear up and burn some rubber ! ! !

The broken parts are from the One-way clutch... Thats why its not advisable to ride around in that condition... Cos the loose bits tangle with the magneto coil as you ride and may damage it... When I got this problem, even with the grinding noise I kept on tryin to start it and finally ended up with a bent valve... I finally took the vehicle to SVC in a small tempo type vehicle.. Just get it to the damn Svc as soon as possible and think abt stuff later...

its xactly the same problem in my case too..the coils are tangled and damaged..the threads are broken and damaged...so the local mech cldnt put the gear like thing(i dont know the componet's name..it looks like a set of two small gears) bak in place...i have called the SVC guys..and they are sending some people over my place to take the bike...i am yet to take a look at the damaged parts...I hope the SVC guys fix it up and give me bak as good as new ! ! !...its dissapointing..despite taking so much care of her...she got a scar now ! ! !......coz of some d**k h**d ! ! !

Actually after 2-3 months of purchase...whn i used to start my bike...it used to produce a rough noise..whn i crank her..like some parts hitting each other badly...but i didnt pay attention to it..thinking that its a refinement problem with all the RTRs....and in this thread also i had never come across such kind of prob. or may be..i missed it ! ! !

                          • hey friends, can anyone here provide me with the mail id of some senior official of tvs..i need to complain about the engine oil thing...they do not allow to use motul in their service centres, henceforth if i don't take tvs oil they mention engine oil not change in the service booklet.. i am scared that my warranty would get void...sending mail from tvs site is not helping...i have not yet received any reply for my past 4 mails in 2 weeks...
