The best part of this is when you are buying the bike, you exactly know how much km it has run and what is the top speed it has been ripped up to by the showroom people.

Speed sensor on both wheels!
One interesting info guys: The speed information for RTR 180 ABS comes from both the wheels, as both wheels have a speed sensor! So, even if you are doing a wheelie for 10 km, you still will have the speed and distance information on the console.Originally posted by chicane1879 View Post

Thats one interesting fact to know. Seems the sensors are integrated with the whole wiring system in the bike.Originally posted by Zippo View PostOne interesting info guys: The speed information for RTR 180 ABS comes from both the wheels, as both wheels have a speed sensor! Really? You are one intelligent man! Thanks..Originally posted by social View PostIf it had been flying, then the speed would be 0 kph :P:P
The front wheel won't rotate, so no odo reading na

Couldn't get what you are trying to say here? I mean, does it take readings from the rear wheel too? What if you put the bike in mainstand and run the engine/wheels idly? Would it still read out distance/speed? If yes, then it's both good and bad in many ways..Originally posted by Zippo View PostOne interesting info guys: The speed information for RTR 180 ABS comes from both the wheels, as both wheels have a speed sensor! -This was my initial response on seeing the top speed recorded on my pal's RTR 180 speedo.
Question-Is this possible?I'm still inquiring about the road where this speed was achieved and performance modifications if done on it.
BTW,this picture was taken by me yesterday

No,this is the default setting for the Speedo..There are times when the speedo turns mad due to some reasons. This '160' is the result of that.Had happened to my bike's speedo twice or thrice..Originally posted by Vishwas Bharadwaj View Post

Yes to both your queries. Like you said it takes readings from the rear wheel too. I don't understand how it would be bad but for one condition - how would the system tell you the exact speed and distance if the wheels rotate at a different speeds (think of drifting)?Originally posted by shivank View PostReally? Do you have any other bad instances/examples?

^^^^Thanks for the quick reply bro!
He had changed his speedo twice after buying the bike, yet this happens!
I guess i got fooled
.
Another question-Does Apache's have inherent problems such as vibrations?I felt like I was on a vibrator on wheels[I was the pillion!].The Unicorn's pillion ride comfort was a hundred fold better when compared to the RTR's pillion ride comfort!Grocery shopping:2010 Honda Dio.

Haxor, that rubber bush thing might be for suspension travel,as and when rear suspension compress the saree guard also comes down a bit along with it.And if there is no such rubber bush, then the suspension wont work at all!Originally posted by haxor View PostI never faced any problem related to the removal of the saree guard, there is a rubber bush kinda thing which is there(extra) and is bolted with the saree guard near the footpeg,I kept it there after removing the saree guard i guess you should get it fixed there i guess!
Correct me If I am wrong.Even though,I will put that again & check!

Well when you had removed the saree guard that rubber bush wasnt fixed to it(saree guard)
I guess it has to do something with the weight distribution thing, you'll also see a rubber bush kinda thing under the exhaust of the bike.
Do try it and let us know about itSpeak Less,Speak Wise!

Thats for the center stand , so that it wont hit the exhaust and damage it.I came to know about it after a crash in which that bush fell off and when ever i took out the bike from center stand i used to get a sound.Originally posted by haxor View PostWell when you had removed the saree guard that rubber bush wasnt fixed to it(saree guard)

Yeah sure. And that rubber bush under exhaust is to keep gap between center stand & exhaust.Originally posted by haxor View PostWell when you had removed the saree guard that rubber bush wasnt fixed to it(saree guard)

Its not a problem bro but an additional feature you get along with the bike!LOL!Comparing the RTR with Uni is like comparing apples & oranges.Period.Originally posted by Vishwas Bharadwaj View PostAnother question-Does Apache's have inherent problems such as vibrations?I felt like I was on a vibrator on wheels[I was the pillion!].The Unicorn's pillion ride comfort was a hundred fold better when compared to the RTR's pillion ride comfort!

Tried the same thing through picassa but nothing happens!
you have to provide the image address not the url in address bar.
its simple when you open a photo in picasa web albums right click at the picture and go to properties and copy the image address and past it in insert picture option and done.
