By 'pair' I meant both ones that come in a dual combo. So it will cost 500 bucks..?

Yes you can but dont mention anything about the coil replacement.

Ask them to check the issue which you are facing with the gears . Let them come to a solution. And make sure you represent it as a serious case and force them to replace(whichever part is faulty) under warranty.

Any jugaad to lessen the vibes of rear footpegs? I don't have problem from vibes experienced by rider, i.e., me (till the extent they are now ) but don't want the pillion to feel the vibes. My bike's rear footpegs vibrate so badly when I ride 80+ They start vibrating from 50-60 but beyond 80 they become somehow unbearable
Dont have any concrete solution for this bro.The quarter pin which hold the foot pegs are very thin, leading to more vibrations.Even if you tighten it,they become loose in a few months.I am looking to change it with the thick ones, will update about it if I feel any difference.

The working of this ABS is different from that of CBR250R.In CBR case,it is combined ABS(both the brakes are applied at the same time),here in RTR,both the brakes are independent.
RTR180 comes with HECU.The H-ECU or the Hydraulic Electronic Control Unit is the heart of the system, which constantly keeps monitoring the front and rear wheel dynamics through the individual sensors on each wheel. When you switch off the ABS,then it will behave like a normal bike as the sensors stop monitoring the braking response. You dont have that option of switching OFF ABS in CBR!

i think it is pretty much common in all 180's to vibrate during 4-5k rpms...usually 60-67 comes in between 4k-5k rpm only. Are you using stock TVS engine oil? I too had this issue and during my 3rd service (5000KM) I asked my SVC in HSR if I can change my engine oil...he suggested to go for Castrol power 1 (15w40) or Motul...both semi synthetic...after changing oil...the gears became much smoother and the vibes reduced...power also increased....planning to go for full synthetic oil in my 4th service...

But on any given day....you cannot go away from the Vibes... it will be always there...it can be reduced but not stopped completely...have not met anyone whose apache does not vibrates..

First of all, I cannot comment whether your mechanic is a cheat.

I believe you are from north of Bangalore. Its easy for us to meet up. I stay in RT Nagar. PM me if you would be able to meet me at 8 pm tonight near the Triton Showroom (near Coffee day) and Whom did you talk to in Triton?

Triton guys are lazy, they do the work, if you know a thing or two about bikes, else, its plain jain stuff. If you have problems persisting, just go to the showroom, head to the first floor and ask you want to meet the MD. He is a nice guy (i missed his name). Never show your temper, be cool and calm talk to him and he will get the work done. Never mention about the outside mechanic, you wont be able to get any warranty replacements.

PM me for my contact number.

I never faced any problem related to the removal of the saree guard, there is a rubber bush kinda thing which is there(extra) and is bolted with the saree guard near the footpeg,I kept it there after removing the saree guard i guess you should get it fixed there i guess!

If it had been flying, then the speed would be 0 kph :P:P

The front wheel won't rotate, so no odo reading na

Well technically if you do a run up and take off like a jet the front wheel will produce more revolutions for some amount of time as there is nothing in contact to it now ,so speedo should indicate more unless you do a vertical lift off this whole rubbish theory will be rubbish

Can somebody do a wheelie at those speeds and test Kantu's theory out
