      I'm sorry to say I can give no more specific info. The mech used the stock jet itself. AFAIK, increasing the hole in the jet and adding one washer to the needle is all thats required.

      The difference is apparent in the higher revs, specifically 10k+. After installing the K&N, though the carb was tuned, i've noticed that after 10.5k the engine was running out of "breath". But now thats gone. Revs freely all the way. Yet to test the top speed in top gear.... will post the results as soon as I can..

        Will surely try it....but as far as 10k+ Rpm is concerned i tried a number of times but my machine wasnt struggling may be the carb settings is all that matter plus a regular filter clean does a wonder i mean its just a personnal experience..........but anyway wil surely go for K&N now.........Hi guys anyone from pune who knows where can i get K&N fitted in my bike i can buy them but dont know a mechanic who can fix them correctly.....

        • my bike engine shuts off automatically at certain speeds like 40 or 60.this happens when i slow down from such a speed.is this due to cold weather or some othe problem....and vibes have become more in beyond the 45 kmh mark please tell me good soultion to reduce the vibes..its unbearable!!!!bikes done 845 kms on odo

          • Guys, my bike is giving mileage of 35kmpl even after riding below 4k rpm.. is there any other way excluding the spark plug method, to check whether my mixture is rich or not?

            And i don't get a bit of confidence on those tyres..at the time of hard braking the rear Tyre slips a lot though am not applying the brakes full... and at speeds above 100km/h the shakes a lot and does not impart confidence... do you think there is a problem with my bike???

              Not really. But you can try playing with the AFR screw if it helps (rotate by 1/4 of a turn).
              Clockwise - Lean Mixture
              Anti-clockwise - Rich Mixture

              BTW you can simply remove the spark plug. It is pretty easy. The tool kit has the spanner for opening the spark plug.

              TVS tyres are a problem. Go easy on the brakes (don't simply grab it). Apply pressure slowly and the slipping will reduce greatly.
              The bike should be pretty stable at 100kph. Check the tyres - maybe it needs to be balanced or aligned.

                True... before installing the K&N also, i could rev all the way.... But augmenting the air flow with K&N tipped off that balance. Now upjetting has brought it back in balance...

                    when i give throttle it acts like it has no petrol after standing more than 30 sec on idle ing

                    • I have given my bike for 3rd service..told the mech about weak rear braking.. he told me to change the break pad..he says break pad must be chanegd every 5k kms!... he's charging 400rs for that..have you guys changed your break pads at 5k?

                          i too faced the same problem long time back. it is just a matter of dirty or clogged carburetor. get it cleaned and your problem will be solved.

                          • Finally got my brakes fixed. No more squealing

                            Had my air filter cleaned and changed oil to semi-synthetic (Castrol Power 1). Not much change but feels a little smoother.

                              • Hi Guys i have completed 14500KM on my angle (white RTR 180). i went to my native place last time it was 190Km from chennai, the thing is i hear a lot of tapping noise in engine, after returning to chennai and its getting more and more now a days, yesterday i gave it to service SVG guy said he had reduced the noise but i feel still noise has not yet arrested, so guys help me to arrest this noise permanently it's a weird noise which i hate to hear.

                                In Highway my driving i was in constant speed above 100Km/Hr. Is that could be reason for tapping noise.????

                                can any one tell y the noise is more wn i accelerate.?

                                Any solution to solve it.
