Not really. A xW40 rated oil will only be as viscous as a 20W40 at higher temperatures. So it doesn't matter which grade you use in summers and it only has to be xW40 spec (if you don't mind the costOriginally posted by pritish View PostIn regions where temprs. raise to as high as 48-42C...it always better to use 20W40 ! ! !....

I have never said X is better than Y. a 10w40 and 20w40 will be having same viscosity when engine is warm but the 10w40 will flow better and protect the engine when engine is cold at starting in mornings etc. , majority of wear and tear of engine happens in the first 10 minutes of start when it has not reached its ideal operating temperature . same reason there are no full synthetic oils of 20w40 but you will get many in 15w40 ,10w40 and 5w40 grade .

OOppss... can you please post a close up pic of the bracket? I'm yet to install it, but I though of taking to the nearby mech. IF I need to have some brackets made, I'd love to see how it should be, instead of getting it designed and done with stock exhaust out... I guess my bike has picked up the "famous" hiccup problem
The bike struggles in the 2.5-3.5k rpm band and also the vibes have somewhat increased in the higher rpm bands.
