Have shown to Castrol Bike Zone mech in the service and he have opened and checked the clutch box assembly and found every thing fine.
It give me a feeling that the gears are not seating properly and its happening specifically while shifting to First gear.

    Guys please help me here.
I usually face this problem when I open the throttle and downshift simultaneously.

Do you face the problem even when you let go of the throttle and then downshift? If yes, then I'll let the experts answer

as you are finding the gear shifting being harder, you should check your clutch... i think your clutch needs to be tightened...

but you are telling that u face the problem in some particular gear... so i can't comment much on that... but yeah, do check your clutch settings.

The gear shifting up and down is smooth, its just the downshifting from any gear to first gear gives this probelm. There should not be any problem with the clutch setting as i have got it checked from SVC as well as from a local mech. The free play is also very small about half inch.

I usually require to downshift from a higher gear to first gear when there is some traffic or on red lights and before downshifting i make sure the bike is slow enough and the throttle is almost closed. This problem was not there in the beginning. When the mech have opened the complete clutch assembly i have myself checked to make sure that nothing is in a broken state.

I guess when we completely press the clutch, we should not have any problem while shifting gears from first to fifth or vice versa.
Is the above problem has anything to do with the engine oil because recently i got Power1 racing FS?

One more thing, the one way clutch has already been changed when the bike was one month old. So there should not be any problem from that side.

It's NORMAL with RTR's gearbox, as it's super notchy, it just bangs at every downshift with loud noice if you're gonna downshift without matching the revs, or in layman terms, downshift with blipping the throttle and releasing the clutch at every downshift, to optimise that engine braking.

You'll hear a rotating metal noice if you'll shift from higher gear to 1st at high speed like if you're doing 70kmph in 5th, and then you come down to 1st, without blipping the throttle, clutch pressed.
that noice is incresed when the clutch play is more than required.

If you're downshifting gear by gear, by releasing the clutch at every gear, thereby gradually matching the revs at evry gear, you wont hear that noice.

Half inch of play is not normal, it's more than required, set it to about 4mm-6mm.

Why you let the mechs open the whole clutch assembly, those shitheads know nothing.

Even if you're gonna shift with half clutch but with blipping effect, you'll have butter smooth downshifts.
Heck you can have butter smooth downshift if you're gonna downshift at the right sweet spot RPM without pressing the clutch, i do it several times.

OIL has nothing to do with it.

One of my friends(6ft tall,90kg),is not quite comfortable with my Apache.
First take a test ride, and if you dont feel comfortable, then think for other options.

It's the small golden screw beside the "huge" idle rpm screw.

But why do you want to play with the mixture. It's not advisable to tinker with it unless you know what you are doing.
What mileage figure are you getting? If it's 35+, that's normal.

OT - Saw the RTR 180 ad on TV. Now the power figure is shown as 17.3ps...

buy the bike if u like it... don't buy it after judging if it looks good or bad on someone.

Air Petrol mixture is a sensitive thing if u r driving 180 forget about mileage orelse u have to sacrifice on power. But make sure if its a really rich mixture i mean u machine is consuming too much fuel than it will get heated up....just to verify open ur spark plug if its a dark black coating on ur plug ur mixture is rich

Hey just check out the RTR official site the power they are claiming is 17.03 which is supposed to be 17.30....i wonder if TVS is following bajas startegy to fool customers check out there check out the nearby showroom and have a test ride even i wonder why they are doing this will definitely spil the image of that bike
