    Help

    I Have installed a K&N Rc1060 air filter on my RTR180. I started reading about the UP-JETTING AND REJETING which is necessary after u instal the air filter. The main jet is 125 and the pilot jet is 20. please suggest me a appropriate jet size which i can use. As i ride my bike there is no problem until 5000rpm but after that the engine feels kinda rushed. its makes sounds like two metal surface banging each other. It only happens when i drag the bike to the whole rpm range.

      Half inch of play is not normal, it's more than required, set it to about 4mm-6mm.

      Why you let the mechs open the whole clutch assembly, those shitheads know nothing.

      Even if you're gonna shift with half clutch but with blipping effect, you'll have butter smooth downshifts.
      Heck you can have butter smooth downshift if you're gonna downshift at the right sweet spot RPM without pressing the clutch, i do it several times.

      OIL has nothing to do with it.
      Thanks Renny for the clearing my doubts abt gear shifiting. Somehow now its working fine. The rattling sound is still there but very less.

        Had a weekend blast on hills this time and the RTR performed supperbly on the twisties. Stock tyres and the petal brakes performed supperbly on the twisties and managed to scrap the footpegs many times on the dry tarmac.We were doing around 50 to 60 kmph at sharp turns.
        Neved had an experience like this

          Engine Oil Can Increase Performance If You Use the Illegal one's which are banned for public use. They are specially ordered. Here's a link of one oil. I don't know it is for bikes or cars.

              It's meant for cars with dry clutch mechanism.

                Renne man, thats how the ideal four strokes are designed.

                You can easily feel a power drop if ur engine gets heated up to a threshold. This is a common feature that four stroke bikes are following. I dont know what is ideal temperature on which this happens as it differs from bike to bike and coolant (air or liquid) but thats the raw fact. This is done to avoid damage to engine because if the threshold has reached that means ur coolant is incapable and that is the emegency stage where engine RPM needs to be dipped down for a while. The reason is simple companys take care of different climatic conditions especially for air cooled machines. For us its OK but for hotter areas, this is a point to be considered. Check out the documentry four stroke in making...sorry i didnt know the link i saw it on a VCD.

                  Hot engine or Super hot engine wont ever result in power drop, over heated engine will do.

                  I have been driving 4 strokes from the last almost 10 years, i have never experienced even the "E" of what you have said.
                  Would you provide any article/video/statement that states that 4 stroke engine automatically drops the "power" after getting heated up!!!!

                    Well its been 9 years to me that i have been driving 4-stroke unfortunately i have that in a VCD the documentries of four-stoke engines i'll surely find out the link or article that states. May be what ur saying that overheated engine...my point was in that overheated = threshold limit crossed.... but this is for sure and i'll let u know the same as and when i'll get that.

                    Wooo just one more thing i inquired with all my sources in Indore SHELL ULTRA 4T FS oil but i cant find any dealer/distributor as u posted in ur recent posts abt that its available in pune

                      It wsnt me who quoted that SHELL is available at the PUNE.

                      You can try for it at CASTROL shop which is near the railway reservation office square, which comes when you take a exit from a narrow lane from the sarvate bus stand.

                          Guys Cone set of my bike has gone bad. I am getting tak tak sound when i press the front shocker with the front brake pressed from the cone set area.

                          Just want to know whether it covers under warranty or i have to pay for it and how much more kms i can ride with this on.
                          Any long term issues i will have if i dont change it?

                          Guys need help here

                            HOw much kms has your bike covered.

                            The cone set's replacement under warranty lies under the discretion of the service personnel. I have seen some service centers charging for it. Insist them on taking it under warranty.And if your bike is under free-service schedule then you shouldnt be charged labour costs.

                                The mileage varies from 35-45km/ltr under varied riding conditions.

                                Mileage:In city:35-40km/ltr(Ripping)
                                Highway:~40kmpl(7k-8k rpm shifts)
                                Mix of highway+City:42-43km/ltr(Ripping)
                                Mix of highway+City:Over 45km/ltr(Sane riding i.e within 6k rpm)

                                Super-Insane-city-ripping: Dips below 35km/ltr but not below 30km/ltr
                                Under-5k rpm-super-sane-riding: ~50km/ltr!!
