Racing Kit
When I asked the model of the K&N Filter, he called up someone in TVS and only got the details for me.Originally posted by dead_piper View Postask them if its comin from tvs itself or the showroom is giving them out...
do check n tell.
I guess it is from TVS only coz of the following reasons.
1. They have a completely mod bike with all kits and I dont think dealers will be sparing one bike for the purpose of displaying the kits alone.
2. They dont have stock of those spares and they place order and get it.
3. The rates and list of Racing kit is common throught out all dealerships and I dont guess unless it is from TVS, it will be common with all dealership.
4. Unless some one enquires about the kit, they dont have any details on it.
Anyways, I have placed order for the racing grips(Cheapest among the list only Rs 220). Will confirm when I go to get those. They were thin compared to the stock handle grips, so thought of giving a try...

Hope you get it back soon and in good condition
EDIT: Read your misery just now. Man its totally shocking
How can they be so irresponsible and still so arrogant?
Screw them for sure even if you get your bike back in fairly good condition so that they won't dare repeating something like this.

But I'm sure you'll get your bike in one piece
And fully agree with your advice. Ride if you can or make sure your station is the last station...कृपया यहाँ पर ज्ञान न बांटे

Just few days back my 220 was transported from hyderabad to vizag through the same train i travelled i dont think that the indian railways are that bad they packed my bike very well and handled it well too during loading & unloading all we have to do is CAREFULLY INSPECT the bike while loading & unloading so that they wont mishandle or damage the bike.
With out even a single scratch my bike was transported sucessfully to the destinantion.Last edited by truelypulsarian; 07-26-2011, 08:43 AM.PULSAR 180 DTSI- 2007

No intentions to crash your party but be careful! Anything can happen. You are believing in a government organization. That's expecting too much..Originally posted by lijok View PostMy god!! Reading shivanks experience, I'm shattered. Hmm Later next month I'll be shipping my bike along with 3 of my friends bikes to Delhi and after getting Leh'ed back to TVM...

Last year,I had pretty much the same story as yours. It was all very easily done and I thought it's a very good option to transport bike using railways.Where I went wrong was to believe in past experiences,it was sweet then and I expected the same this time.Thing is never to generalize anything based on experiences and,it holds true for both-the sweet and the sour experiences.I might travel and transport again by railways sometime in future and who knows it might turn out to be a very sweet journey the next time..but for that I need to get my bike back(Railways, you listening!)Originally posted by truelypulsarian View PostWhat exactly happend???

I think it's part of some bad luck as well.60% bad luck and 40 % inefficiency of railways.
Meantime, please continue your discussions on ownership experiences.I will keep you updated once I get to know the whereabouts of my bike..
