What went inside your tyre?(cause of puncture?), when i had a puncture it was a 4 inch nail .... generally once you have a puncture, repairing it wont make much difference... but mine is still good after many months...

I've completed 8500km and never had a single puncture.
Correct me if i'am wrong but i think tire for the RTR 180 is not 100% hard compound, the grip levels on dry tarmac is very good even when nicely leaned over as well as under hard braking (i.e., if both brakes applied progressively). Of course, the rubber does not provide as much feed back as the YZF-R15's, but the life's longer. And that's just about it, you know, so enjoy
The Apache is ever willing to red line each cog, but the Rider ain't. Enjoy RTR, Safely. Period.

I'm having the similar issue but including in dry conditions.. i have to apply a extra bit of pressure on the brake lever.. and still the effect is worse than drum brakes.. have got pads cleaned several times.. still of no use..

Recently i saw a couple of RTR180s at office which had quite uneven wear on the front tyre. I was surprised to see more than one like that. Check your tryres for any such uneven wear...

and if you are still on the stock rubbers, use this an opportunity to throw them away...

                  • Does anyone have any idea how to get rid of turmeric stains from a matte finish helmet? A f**king stupid friend of mine touched my lid with dirty hands, which has left 2 marks on my beautiful LS2.

Thatz the funny thing,i dont find a nail or anything, the air is leaking from a pinhole type one which means if i fill air to 33psi after next day it will come to 17psi
Can it be repaired?the bike clocked only 1200kms

                        - Go towards Left direction from the shop.
                        - Take the first left turn where you have all those gleaming used-bikes.
                        - Continue for 100 meters or so.
                        - You have another 4-way cross-section.
                        - Then I have forgotten whether you cross it or is it before?

Anyway, you have to take one of those small gallis to the right and in any one of them sits a fat man with Shell oils. He's generous to deal with and you will get discount without uttering a word. If I remember clearly I had paid 230 bucks for the AX7 whereas the MRP back then was above 300 I guess.

If there are confusions still ask for directions from other vendors as well. They know who deals with Shell and will happily tell the location.
Thanks. I now have a rough idea Weekend then.

I tried to check the top speed yesterday but the bike refused to budge beyond 125kph even on downhill (full throttle and long long empty stretch). Somedays it just doesn't happen...

As turmeric is kind of like a coloring agent, i suppose it's there to stay for a while. But will fade away as time moves on

And don't be angry with your friend, he didn't do it on purpose right?

What I mean is, get it checked from some battery waala shop in your locality if it is giving you the required voltage and current or not. (The SVC people won't do it for you) Maybe some or one of the cells of your battery is gone. I had the same problem, the horn and flasher were working fine. Just the starter wasn't. One of the 6 cells was dead and I just replaced the battery and everything is as good as earlier now
Thanks Garry and Drifty for your valuable inputs
I went to the service centre and told them about the problem. The self start was working fine. They told they can't replace the battery as the self is working fine. The manager told if any problem persist further they will replace the battery.
                            Should i charge the battery

@Kirajkj1724: You may need to replace the brake fluid. Use DOT3 or DOT4 from an unopened can, coz the fluid is hygroscopic and with time will absorb moisture and become ineffective. If you know well to flush the brake lines DIY, else go to a mechanic.
@kantu: Is your bike from service recently? Some idiots at SVC spray oil to the disks. It happened with my bike too and I had to wait for about a 300 km before the brakes recovered from it. Check for this.

                              • The rear disc makes a loud sound when brakes applied ppl even look around sometimes

the ODO has clocked 1400kms. the guys at SVC say it will go after sometime.. should i get the brake pads cleaned? or is there any other reason?

Also the engine heats a lot. I think this is normal for the RTR?
