@ sid137
I think it's too early to say, but as of now i feel the engine is revving more smoothly through the complete rev range. Also this oil will hold its full potential even under high temps, that's a very good thing. The vibes around 4.5k-6.0k , i think they are very well controlled too.
Did not check the mileage though post M5100 usage. I'd been getting 39 km/liter.Last edited by Rtrlover83; 07-28-2011, 11:33 PM.The Apache is ever willing to red line each cog, but the Rider ain't. Enjoy RTR, Safely. Period.

All the best for your new ride!!!
When you get your hands on it, be gentle on the throttle for at least 1000km. Limit top speed under 50km/hr. At the same time don't rev above 3.5k rpm on any gear. Also, vary the engine speed frequently. ie, if your doing 45-48, then roll off the throttle a bit and bring it back, especially on your highway stints. Use the brakes too, progressively. Try replacing the engine oil after some 250km or so. This might happen before your first service. And do change it on the 1st service again. Use mineral oil for around 5000kms.
BTW, you are gonna have absolute control along side fury ain't ya? Great!
Enjoy !
I surprisingly managed to get the bike TODAY and I've been following the instructions provided ever since
And here's a pic we clicked right outside the showroom.

@aamirjamal
Great to hear from you man
The pic is cool...the ride and the rider plus the lid. Happy to know that you are running in nicely
Try to get a clear visor too for your LS2. Because you'd be needing one while it's dark outside. Many dude's just open the visor up after the said time. But, what if it rains? Also the engine note sounds at it's best (one could hear the actual one i.e,)
with the visor down. And of course, protection is the main part. Period.
I too use a LS2 (FF301 Ultimo, matt black color) and been using a clear visor since the purchase. I don't change it to the stock visor now and then, because it's a bit tough for me LOL...

Just an IMO, it's your choice. Ride Safe, Ride Long

Thanks for your wishes and prayers, they did pay a lot.I was in despair after running to officials daily.Thought will leave it all on to my luck and won't make any efforts now.And voila! My luck.
Today afternoon got a call from NR cell and they informed me that the bike is waiting at railway station.Literally, ran there in no time and got my bike back.
Everything was well in order except for the visor, left front indicator and the clutch lever.I am just flabbergasted to see this. There were truckloads of load on it when I last saw her.Wonder how it managed to come out unscratched?
While coming back thought it would be a good idea to replace all the damaged parts today itself. It was just 760 bucks(which is very less compared to what I expected) and done in half an hour or so.After all this headache and everything, took the lonnnnnnnnnnng route home!
Nice to hear that.. you must be on cloud nine
Enjoy the ride again !

Am a proud owner of the RTR ABS. Completed 1000kms yesterday!! what a relief!
However noticed one thing. the bike doesn't rev freely above 5k RPM. Is this normal? feels like it struggles to go beyond 75 kmph
P.S. I was surprised to see that there are very little vibes in the bike above 4500 RPM. Hope this is the case for higher RPM's too

Well, in a way yes. From my experience, the Apache struggles after the 5k RPM mark unless you twist that throttle a little bit harder. It 'settles' down (i.e bikes revs freely even after 5k) once you maintain that riding style for a period of time. However, it remains temporary.Originally posted by white.warrior View PostAm a proud owner of the RTR ABS. Completed 1000kms yesterday!! what a relief!

I for instance, maintain my speed at 60 most of the time in city. When I find an empty stretch and I opening the throttle gradually results in the bike responding ultra slowly. In that case, I twist that throttle a little bit harder and its "There you go!

Hi guys,my self-start didn't respond today(this is the 2nd time,i am facing
this issue in 5 days)
Then i kick-started the bike, and after riding for 5kms and so,i stopped and the self motor worked at one press..
I went to the TVS A.S.S,the mechanic said probably the battery charge is low.As i went there in the evening it was about to close. My horns are working fine,so i think there is nothing wrong with the battery.
Please guys help me,i am very worried.
P.S Even when it the self didn't start 5 days ago,the self fired after riding for 5kms..Apache RTR 180 2011 | Honda Activa 2010 | CBZ Xtreme 2010 (1 month) |Apache 160 FI 2009-2010
