tried warranty?

Yaar, I went to SVC today at 12 but they said that the qouta for today is already full, come next morning. I asked about the warranty of battery, they said its only 1 year and my bike is 1 year 5 months old now. The thing which frustrated me is the amount of rust there. I don't know how it happened. Maybe the battery is leaking or the stupid guys poured electrolyte so carelessly that it fell on the frame

I think the battery is leaking or the stupid SVC guys poured the electrolyte/acid in this thing

Attaching the pics. Can you guys find another reason behind this?
Also, what else can be wrong other than battery? How can I find out that the RR unit is the culprit or the battery. Though the pics points towards the battery

Check the output voltage of the RR unit using multimeter or ask any battery shop guy,he will do it for you.Spray WD-40 on the rusted parts to prevent it from more corrosion.

dude cant we just attach a switch to the pass light thing and attach a hid to that? will that work instead of converting bike fully to dc?

If only it was that SIMPLE!

@Viscmad:Welcome to the tribe.Enjoy RTRing.

he he dont feel bad dude! think every one having issues and are looking at solutions rather than these kinda messages.
Anyways you can use Castrol Activ as an alternate mineral oil , you can switch to Castrol power 1 as well after 1000km s , and in run in if you dont mind switch mineral oils at 300km and 700km also instead of running all the way till 1k in same oil.

Will the spray remove all the rust? I mean, will it do the same for me as removing the rust using a sand paper or a file?

WD-40 will only prevent from further corossion.Best way, remove the rust using sand paper & then paint over it.

just use sandpaper and clear all the rust and then paint the rusted part with spray paint or with a brush.

So, it serves the purpose

Anyways, a new problem guys

My battery wasn't getting charged back even after 100 kms. a day that too on high revving ride @ 100+ kmph. I thought that the electrolyte of the battery needs to be topped-up. Told the same problem to the SVC guys and they also said the same thing and topped-up the battery. Still, even after a month, the problem never got resolved. Opened up the battery-side panel completely and found something horrible

I think the battery is leaking or the stupid SVC guys poured the electrolyte/acid in this thing

Attaching the pics. Can you guys find another reason behind this?

My friend recently got a Bullet electra and he was told by his SVC to avoid parking his bike on the side stand as the acid from the battery may spill over causing corrosion. Don't know if this is possible in RTRs.
