Pirelli SDs are soft compound tires and they are a tad expensive than other brands here.No doubt they will offer amazing grip levels. But try to get the rear-fitment only as a front-spec tire is not advisable for rear use.You might have to upgrade the size for that too.Or,if you can find the MT75 by Pirelli that would be the best! (same stock size is available)Originally posted by manubhat View Posthey guys can someone tell me the best tyres for RTR180..
Both front and rear??
Iam getting it fixed on my friends bike tomorrow..
I need to finalize now... what are the options available?
I was thinking about Michelin...
Front tire get the zapper FS(P220-spec) that's the best the RTR can get as of now.
My bike is currently running on the IRC tires. They are brilliant as far as I can tell. But many people are skeptical about its grip on wet so it's entirely your decision..

When I got it in May in Chennai, the on-road price of RTR 180 ABS was 90K which was approx 10K more than the normal RTR 180...
Guess, the RTR 160 was approx. 74K.
Not sure of the current price, since they said that the ABS was given with an introductory offer price and would go up by 2K after some time. It might have been a business sales tactics to make the customer happy too..

For me its never been nor will ever be my DL, For me its always been and will always remain my RL {Riding License}
I confess that I ♥ :
*Being ogled at while waiting
for lights to turn green
*Fielding queries from massed onlookers
*Pushing dream bikes to their limits
*Blasting past slowpokes

Thats lucky, Got my bike a month back and not able to go for any long trips because of rains here. Did manage 0-60 in 4.2 secs at a traffic light start though.Originally posted by Garry_Menace View PostSame did I, obviously
and later clicked a frame not reaching the same speed but somehow managed to touch 130

Well, the route to my college includes a 30 kms stretch of NH-1Originally posted by New guy View PostThats lucky, Got my bike a month back and not able to go for any long trips because of rains here. Did manage 0-60 in 4.2 secs at a traffic light start though.
So, it serves the purpose
Anyways, a new problem guys
My battery wasn't getting charged back even after 100 kms. a day that too on high revving ride @ 100+ kmph. I thought that the electrolyte of the battery needs to be topped-up. Told the same problem to the SVC guys and they also said the same thing and topped-up the battery. Still, even after a month, the problem never got resolved. Opened up the battery-side panel completely and found something horrible

I think the battery is leaking or the stupid SVC guys poured the electrolyte/acid in this thing
Attaching the pics. Can you guys find another reason behind this?
Also, what else can be wrong other than battery? How can I find out that the RR unit is the culprit or the battery. Though the pics points towards the battery

just tell him to keep control on throttle , speed limit 50 and rpm limit 4k.Originally posted by jd666 View PostGuys, my younger bro just got a RTR 180 in Pune, non-abs. Done about 400 kms.

get engine oil change at regular interval. i think he have done half runin .
vibes are trademark of rtr it cant be solved but can be minimize by a good engine oil, keeping afr ratio perfect and tight all fastner ..................................................

So what should i do to get it converted to DC and how much does it cost?Originally posted by Drifty View PostYes,HIDs require constant DC power supply to work efficiently. If its directly connected to battery without dc conversion then the battery or the hid bulb will give up after few days of usage!
