Drifty, aren't these 2 tyres slimmer than the stock TVS ones?

I think this is a nice combo.

How about the FZ Rear tyre? What make is that? That is wide enough and looks to be pretty sturdy.

      • Tring Tring.........suggestion guys

        Hi Guys,

I am planning to buy a new bike. Well after riding my RTR180, all bikes feels like they suck when it comes to 0-60 and pickup. But what it lacks is top end speed and high end performance. I mean i usually travel a lot and travelling from pune to bombay is normal, with an avergae speed of 90+ and it goes roughly with 110 or 115. With this running continuesly the engine gets heated very soon and i can easily feel drop in performance.

        Well here are my concerns

        Top end speed
        Stable engine for Long rides
        Mileage...Do hell with that
        Looks doesnt matter much
Pickup and Top speed are must

I have nominated R15 in this top category i dont like pulsor though its a good bike. I am curious to know whether the new YZFR15 is good in terms of power and pickup

        Sugeest me guys

Sometimes while driving even at a speed of 50 KMPH, the skidding of the tyres is noticeable. This is really scary especially during monsoons.

If need be for replacement of tyres, what are the possible alternates which I can opt for?
Apart from MRFs you can also check the Pirelli MT75..comes in 110/80/17 and 110/70/17...

          • Front Suspension issue

Hey guys need some help here.

When i go through poth holes, yes, even at low speeds, could feel a weird sound from the front forks coupled with very less cushioning. It's very annoying I've been experiencing this since a long time. I've replaced the front fork oil, but to no avail. Going to the SVC for the 3rd time to rectify this !

What could be the problem? Waiting for any feedback

I am using IRC rubber..2500 kilometers done so far and no problems as yet. This year it's just raining here and the IRC hasn't let me down once.Take my word or read endless posts from others on how do they perform on wet..That way you will never be able to change the tires.Every fellow here wants a tire that could do insane lean angles around corners like slicks and can perform well in wet/mud etc.I can just assure you one thing, change the stock tires-be it MRF or IRC,you will definitely feel confident riding your bike..

                  Thanks guys

Need to shed some more light on this. What exactly does a Ball racer/Cone-set do? where are they located in the front forks? Is the job of replacing/repairing these a simple yet perfect one? (would these come under warranty?)
Lastly, approx how much does these stuff cost?

The RTR ones cost about 300 bucks! It will be replaced under warranty only if your bike has done <10,000 km..

Anyways, would post the feed back after i go to the SVC on the 1st of July. BTW, my ride is 16 months old and clocked 7600kms So warranty is still there for me.

                          • guys....need some help...

since last few days i am getting a weird vibration in front (not the usual one between 60-65kmph)..its like engine is getting strained...bike also wobbles (bumpy) a little....i did check most of the screws and found everything to be just fine...but still this problem is there...did check my tire pressure and found it to be ok....suspension also looked ok to me...this vibe comes only when i ride more than 65-70 consistently for some time (max 5-10 min as Bangalore road and Traffic doesn't allow me to )

Do let me know if any solutions!!! thanks!

                            • Guys, is the reduction of RTR 180's power from the original 17.3 PS to 17.03 PS quite evident in the latest RTRs?

Cos I have the new ABS & I gotta say I dont quite feel the same rush I used to when I first rode the RTR 180 of the first batch.

Has TVS's new engine oil (10W30 Semi Synth) got anything to do with this? One noticeable feature in the new RTRs is its better refinement & minimal vibes.

But who would look for refinement in an RTR!!

If the refinement is improved then you wont feel the adrenaline rush at all, try the R15 for eg, it is so smooth that you dont feel the speed at all, till you the speedo.
