In rains, there is no way you can save the filter from getting wet.It will get choked cause of the water and wetness on it.Remove the K&N filter and put back the stock air filter.K&N without upjetting will just give a loud sound, not performance. In fact,it will bring down the performance cause the A/F ratio will be seriously messed up.And as whiteknight said, you will need a main jet bigger than 125.There are very less chances that you will find one, bigger than 125.Better way, take the Pulsar's 110 main jet & then resize it to 135/140.Dont resize the stock jet of your bike, finding a new one might be a problem then.

IF RC-1060 then fit it on the pipe and If RC-1100 then try to get it fitted inside the airfilter box. but take my advice the K&N will not give you power gain it will just make more sound like a bassy exhaust of a cruiser. i installed the K&N and removed it and got back to stock.

The Apache is a high revving machine it has a shorter stroke and big bore. so if you want real performance then try the K&N on a longer stroke bike{if you want to compare then the Apache RTR180 has bigger bore than the Pulsar 200} thats how the RTR works. when you install the K&N on the apache you can't take the bike upto the higher RPM's the bike feels stressed. Keep the bikes engine stock and if you want to go for modding go for full mods like free flow exhaust, bigger carb. etc.

but since you already bought the K&N use it. go for upjetting. it might help you and get the Air-fuel-mixture right. RTR's main jet is of 125 try to get a bigger one
ya i dont feel any increase in performance i have just fitted directly to carb.....no upjetting and the sound is like a chain of tin can got a struck in a kittens neck and how can i upjet it any help guyz

First of all,use multi quotes option please!!!
Its a trial & error method.Stock jet is 125 so increase by 5 or 10,say 135.Get a 0.10mm drill bit & drill the main jet to the required size i.e.135.You will need a drill machine for that. You can get it done from any workshop too. After jetting, adjust the air fuel ratio and see that you dont get any jerks or popping sound from the exhaust while accelerating. The throttle response must be smoother and crisper.

Damn!! Thats the main reason why people refrain from going for FFE's

Yes, it will The filters are universal. Just check if RC1060 is enough for ZMR or not. IMO, it is.

no they dont care about the bike even if it is brand new. the guys at the spares shop give the mech the Semi-synthetic oil which the TVS has recently devolped. 10w-30 semisyntetic is not the oil for the apache before 2000km. you have to make them pour the 20w-40.

The oil might cost about Rs240-295. oil filter doesn't need to be changed as the bike is brand new. you can just get it cleaned

bro it is not a waste of money it still can work. take the air filter box and remove the pipe which is attached to the carb. the pipe suprresses the air flow upto a small extent and the rider can bear the sound easily. when i first got it installed the fool who did it just fitted it right on the carb. that really sounded like a tin can. after few days the TVS mech fixed it on the air filter pipe. after that the bass kept on going and i too enjoyed all the bass and grunt all the way to 7000rpm.

never did upjetting on the bike which ulitmately resulted in knocking and stuff. i talked to a motorcross racer mech. he said he had jets upto 200+ size. i said i dont have that much fuel. i guess if you want bigger jet. retro scooters of bajaj used to have big jets about 140. try to check on that. if you can get one it might get easy.

the main jet of the RTR180 which is 125 cannot be purchased from the TVS spare parts. Because no one orders one

Dont know about the price but once i had an accident LHS one got little bent. so they sent the whole handle bar to get repaired. it cost me around 1800 something. i hope that both were brand new.
