Doubt if SVC will change the stock oil brand before 5k...the general exp is they will not...still..you can try...

Castrol power1 (not sure if it comes in 20W40..i am using 15W40) is good but will take some time before the break in of oil happens...Castrol Active is better i have heard (again not sure if it comes in 20W40)...no clue on shell..

Here, the SVC guys don't allow to change the oil brand after 5K too

No matter how much the bike has swept, they'll pour their own oil only

And, they themselves are using other than TVS. Agip to be precise. But the stupid thing is that they just know "TVS ki bikes k liye dus-tees (10W30) hai bhaiya... wahi dalega

" and the oil is 10W30 Mineral

I'll revert the gearing also to stock. This was just an experiment, and has proven unsatisfactory. yes, there is increase in mileage, but the adrenalin rush is lost..

I told you about my experience with gearing, its not worth at all.

Hi guys,changed engine oil (Elf Moto4Gold) and oil filter today,175kms
on odo..After changing the bike has become even more smoother,
the acceleration has increased and the gear shifting is butter
smooth too..
Rode my Menace in the rains too,was riding at around 40-45km/hr and
braked hard,it didn't skid

this time rtr is competing with rtr .not with another bikes like in previos ad.

Hey, guys i decided to buy RTR 180 ABS, will be getting it on 1st week of July, this thread really helped me in my decision, Thanks to all. soon going to be an APACH'ian/RTR'ian..and 1 thing what all stuff should i check for when my bike is getting delivered ??..its NoOb question..but this is my 1st bike..so bit helpless..
