And about posture, I agree with whatever Garry has said. In fact, I prefer this riding posture. Only problem, the balls get compressed more when compared to the straight-sitting posture .

I heard that 180 ABS has DC electricals, so putting a HID kit would be simpler? If so, what would be the approx cost?

Yeah, ABS came with DC electricals so you don't need to do much of an effort to install HID and projector assembly

Thanks for the follow up you are doing. The goodies that make me think those ain't TVS's stuff are basically the exhaust and the TVS/Pirelli combo rubber

With all my heart, hoping that TVS is seeing all this, and would roll out something soon for all of us enthusiasts

The Apache is ever willing to red line each cog, but the Rider ain't. Enjoy RTR, Safely. Period.

          • Surprise!! Surprise!! Hi-speed 160

Today morning when I took took my Apache 180 ABS, was shocked to find the Hi-Spd in my bike as 160. I have never ripped it and the top-speed I have driven so far was only 113. Anyways, i loved seeing 160 and didnt reset it...
Has anyone faced similarly in their Apache..?

PS: No one other than me takes my bike and I didnt drive it at 160 even in my dreams. Guess I have the fastest Apache atleast as per the speedo-console..

                  • I had my break pads replaced @ ~9k kms and now i have discovered that my chain kit has to be replaced(11k kms, and its very badly ****ed up...), i guess ill have to change my spark plug and clutch plate also... i have given my bike to servicing at 2-2.5k intervals and already 5 official and 1 unofficial servicing(wasnt satisfied by the tvs servicing), my friend is telling me that these problems were supposed to come at a much later stage and they appeared now because of improper servicing, how far is this true, what can i do about it?

What are you guys inputs about installing ngk iridium park plug, does it have any drawbacks?

actually tvs servicing is bad. not your problem. try giving it to a local shop after free services are over. as they have a bad reputation of removing fuel. replacing parts etc in svc. please go to a know shop only. otherwise cost will be high. feel the difference after you switched to local garage. yes this problems come if chain is not maintained correcdtly. use tvs chain lube every 500kms and when it rains before and after going in rains. and at around 5000 to 6000kms do chain overhauling. brake pads depends on how much you use your brakes. so don't worry. around 10k its ok for normal to heavy users for braking. continue same intervals for servicing. but change your oil to something better than tvs for better engine life. change oil every 1000 to 1500 kms for city driving and 2000to 2500kms for only highway driving.

Nope...trust the manual!! ..it is 1000km only...still...ppl advise to put little less strain (occasional high speeds are fine) on the engine till 1500km..for longer life of the menace!!!
