Aaha, I thought TVS authorized service centre coz they do teflon coating but charge extra, so thought its possible.

Gud to know that they added a short finish version. As for the shops, Probiker & Laxmi provide good range of products but beware as they also supply counterfeit products if you are not careful (the guy at Probiker is very prompt though). Alternately, we got PlanetDSG (near probiker), PSR & more stated in the xbhp Pune member thread.

Mirhawk - you will have to go for custom graphics as TVS dsnt seem to provide the graphics directly ( learned when the graphics on rear side tore abit & TVS SVC guy said graphics dnt come seperately but part of body parts itself :'( or did u try in nanapeth area )

prateek2210, Rtrlover83 - what abt those aftermarket mechanical discbrake regulator called SafeABS, some say they work while others say its a scam

Its a gamble, for some its still working, while some have thrown it the next day.
They are available here for as low as 700bucks. Have not used them personally, so cant comment on how they work.

prateek2210 - I thought since SafeABS came from a reputed maker of automotive safety products, they might be better than those chinese knockoffs but then again its just a brake force regulator & not a true ABS system like the Continental ABS in most bikes. BTW Joel's Duke 230 luks awesome B)

aditya_iyer Mirhawk Thanks for the inputs. I will check at 3M Car Care on J M Road about the coating.
How much time this paint coat lasts?

Happy Diwali and Enjoy !!

The 3m paintcoat should last around 6-12 months similar to teflon coating if i am not wrong

aditya_iyer I will get the paintcoat done asap.

BTW did you replace the headlamp to osram? I was thinking of replacing it as the stock bulb's throw is quite short and its colour doesn't match with the beast's eyes

Yeah, i will be upgrading to OSRAM's nightracer plus light soon at my next servicing. Already had a terrible accident due to less throw of our headlights & pmc negligence. So drive carefully at night

Guys, need some help with one issues I am currently facing..

Bike is 2011 RTR 160 ridden 12k kms.. I am having cold start problem.. Problem in the sense the bike starts in single kick ( or single button press) and will happily stay in idle as long as it wants.. But the moment I give some throttle it stalls.. So normally I would let it idle for around 2-4 mins and it would come back to normal, but last few days it takes good 5-10 mins to warm up.. Just got my bike service 2 weeks back.. your help much appreciated
Regards,
Yogesh.

guys the brake fluid level of my front brake in the reservoir has decreased. it used to be almost full in the small circular window but now its just above the halfway mark when i checked it with the bike on main stand havent checked the rear brake fluid level as yet. what should i do now? change the brake fluid or top it up? i use 60:40 front:rear brake while riding. there is also a squeeling noise heard while i apply the front brake. my bikes run 3k on the odo and its 2 months old and there doesnt seem to be any leak around the master cylinder area. any idea?

yogesh.vk & ranju567 if you haven't recently fiddled with your carburetor then the problem may be due to a dirty air filter which compromises on air intake on starting acceleration, I don't think it would be a case of TPS ( or it may??)
Abishek94 both 2 months time & 3k km seems to be less for reduction in brake fluid level. Check out with your service station. The squeeling noise is generally due to dirt & dust deposits, a pressure wash will normally solve it.

You can change stock tyres on a brand new bike as well.. No rule for the life if the tyre.. Many guys have changed tyres just after taking delivery & a few guys have changed after 30-40k km..

If you up size the tyre , by keeping the aspect ratio constant, the FE increases a bit..
