Please check with the manual.. As far as I remember, Tru4 oil is recommended oil which is 10w30.

So if you reduce your 15Wy to 10Wy series it will help during cold start.
Go for Shell Advance AX7 10w30 semi-synthetic oil if you have crossed around 7000+ km in your odo.

+1..

Just a small correction.. Shell Advance AX7 is 10w40 ss

You own both RTR and D390?

Anyways, I think it is better to go with orig shock absorbers. I remember reading it is actually quite good when compared to others and few P220s have changed their rear shocks to RTR's. Moreover you will have peace of mind with having orig. I am not sure of the price but it can be around 4k for a pair.

Yes I had to buy a bike for my long rides, somehow the RTR dint satisfy me during long rides. She's excellent for city rides and she's going to stay with me for that reason. D390 has got completely different characteristics and I just love it! Thanks a lot for the info man, appreciate it! Was looking for cheaper options, have to go for the original if there's no other option.

Need help guys, is it recommended for RTR160/180 to have the spark plug too tightened. . ? I mean my friend took his RTR to SVC and that SVC guy has tightened the spark plug too tightly that he cannot open it by himself now, is it advisable doing this. . ? What are the pros and cons of this. . ? Thanks. . .

Tightening the plug to that extent would just damage the threading on the plug & the engine head..
You need to screw in the plug until the washer on the plug touches the head(this could be done by hand itself) & then tighten it by a half turn, using the tool..

So you mean to say that the SVC guy's a noob and spoiling my friend's bike. . ? Will ask him to tight it properly, not too tight and not lose, RIGHT. . ?

TVS SVC guys can't even change the engine oil without damaging the drain nut .. No use trying to dictate/request/beg those mechs to do the job the right way, they are a bunch of egoistic fools..
The best thing is to DIY or go to a good independent mech.

Rakesh Rok your friend would have the spark plug opening tool in the tool kit, don't try to open by twisting forcefully instead tap on sides of the plug lightly. Tapping will lose up the space.
vivekgautams the drain bolt of RTR is bit oddly located (reaching there is difficult). New bolt with washer from authorised service will cost you around Rs70. Service people should be careful with this things as a damaged thread can be a headache.

@Rakesh Rok ,you should try the mentioned steps when the engine is cold, removing the plug will be easier..

Traveller01 , It does not matter if the bolt is 70 or 2500 bucks.. TVS SVC fools cannot do anything straight..!! If you refer to my previous posts(quite a few pages back),you can visualise as to how these mech(s) had damaged my bike's engine head's threads by over tightening the bolts..Forget about the drain nut & the engine head bolts. These geniuses have totally disfigured the three bolts of the engine oil filter cap as well & now my bike has to be taken to a lathe shop to remove these bolts..
BTW Shell has a Free oil change scheme & they remove the drain bolt without struggling or without damaging the bolt, unlike TVS SVC..That too FREE..!!

vivekgautams I mentioned the price to help you as you told you have a damaged bolt. Even I share the same thought that the service should be more attentive & carefully. Sad to hear about your bike, believe me its the case with most of the manufacturers.

I had to replace the engine head itself,so,all these small spares don't matter at all.. But surely are a waste of time trying open these nuts..I just wanted to illustrate the attitude of tvs, that's it..Anyways, Thank you for the update..
Shell have a machine which sucks out the old engine oil,so no need to open the drain nut..
