I guess we can also improve ride quality by using dry nitrogen filling besides making sure that we use a correct tire profile for our bikes [some scorn at this as it is said that going against manufactures tires could result in performance drop]. Heard it requires slight less filling then normal air but adds life to tires as well as a slight performance boost in which some say better grip/stability & increase in speed as well has been noticed & can be mixed with normal air in case nitrogen filling in not available. Can anyone vouch for these claims coz i have seen some lengthy discussions about them in **********[http://**********.in/tyres-nitrogen-gas/ & http://**********.in/pros-cons-nitrogen-gas-tyres/] besides as my bike is new & done only [853km..damn exams ], i guess i feel like sticking to the default tire but feel like upgrading to nitrogen gas from normal to both preserve life of tire & maintain performance during the risky rainy season besides changing my rear flap to the optional fender bender to prevent putting mud on people ridding behind me

PS - also found a good thread related to this [http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/universa...-nitrogen.html]

Query: There's a fuse kinda thing through which the power goes from the battery to the Cockpit, without which the display doesn't turn on when you switch-on the key. What do you call it and what should i ask in the mechanic shop for this?? If i just go by and ask for a fuse will they get to know what I'm asking or should i ask for "something" in specific??

Get it from a TVS service center. I got the same from SVC by saying that I need the fuse seen nearby the battery.

Guys, as the monsoons are on their way I was thinking about buying a rear flap. Any one got any idea about how much it costs?

Also, what are your thoughts on introducing a rear tyre hugger, if one is available.

You can easily fit it yourself, you just need to remove the number plate & then the rain mud gaurd fits perfectly on the present short mud gaurd. The red rectangular reflector in the bottom remains same for both the flaps. Just a 10 minute process.

                      Update :

Was riding yesterday and the bike stopped without giving any warning. Tried 20mts to start it but in vain. Had to push it for 4.2kms to nearest mechanic to get it checked. The spark plug was little bent, don't know how, the petrol knob was carrying fuel only in reserve position and the spark plug wire was unable to carry spark. The mechanic changed the plug and said now it will be running smoothly. It did for next couple of kms and stalled again in middle of nowhere. Thats when I noticed that the head was leaking again. Tried 30minutes to get it started and after numerous failed attempts, called my friend to push my bike till home (13kms) from that place. As soon as I put down the phone, it started, called them and informed that I am going home. Went smoothly for another 4kms and stalled again. Pushed bike again for 5.6 kms and it started again. By this time I was so frustrated and exhausted that I decided to sell my bike asap.
Today being Tuesday and shops closed here, will go tomorrow to get it checked 'again'

So now after this getting running. my white 'old' devil goes on sale

My RTR has been hit by another bike and i got some big scratch (paint came off) in the exhaust, which makes me very sad.
Is it possible to paint the exhaust. is there any paints available so that i can buy and spray it off on the scratched parts. need suggestions.

Such small issue which can be taken up at an authorized service center for getting the motorcycle checked and up and running like before. All the motorcycles give unexpected problems and it happens when you least expect it
For such a petty issue you're deciding to sell off your bike makes me wonder are you really a motorcycle lover? Take care of her bro take it to the SVC and get it fixed, RTR is an amazing machine and you should be proud of it IMO

P.S: the problem could well be in the spark plug cap, I had a similar issue and the SVC fellow changed the cap and since then the bike is running trouble free. I have 27k kms in 3.1 years
