          Hi All,

I have an TVS RTR Apache 180 from the past 2.5 years have clocked 24000 kms and now I am facing the problem of punctures in the rear wheel and the tyre pressure going down rapidly.

I recently fixed 2 punctures still tyre pressure falling rapidly.

Guess its time to change my tires.

Can any one recommend me good tyres ? Last time when i visited my service centre they told me about some new TVS brand tyres costing 5000 for both and the service centre guy told me to change both the tyres at one go rather than just the rear wheel.

Has anyone experience on this new TVS brand tyres ? Should I go for them or some other brand ?

I stay in Bangalore and have heard about JC Road but dont know which tires to go for ?

          Thanks in advance

Haven't heard of " new" TVS tyres, better not go for it.. You can go for Michelin Pilot Sporty 90/90 17" for front ( Rs1800, max) & 120/80 17" for rear(Rs2800,max)..
When you enter J.C road, take a left at the first signal( this is AM rd)& after the left turn the second building block to your right has a tyre shop (next to,Bohra auto agency TVS Spares)& this shop is opposite to Castrol lubricants.. This shop's price is really good..

And will the shop people itself change the tires for me or should i bring it to the SVC for replacement ??

Pirelli tyre are soft rubber tyres, which means that the tyre will "stick" to the road, they have excellent road grip. I have not fitted Pirellis but have heard that they don't last long & are expensive..
The shop will fit the tyres for free & will fit new valves as well..

Valve is that thing which is used to inflate the tyre, its mounted on the rim..
I heard that Pirellis last for some 15000 to 18000 km..

Guys what are mileage figures of Apache 160 and 180, not the one officially claimed by company but the actual FE RTR owners get. both under hard ripping and sane riding.

From rtr 180 I am getting lowest I got was 38 and highest I got ever was 44.Mine 27k old.My friend is getting around 47 on 160(new).One thing I noticed that the mileage depends on the condition of the bike to a huge extent.Loose chains and low pressure got me a mileage of 32kmpl once, guess that don't count.
