I just have one suggestion and dont take it wrongly Please install rear view mirrors asap! That is a safety device and one can never take the driver/rider behind for granted! However skilled a rider is, he should always be aware of his surroundings and mirrors play the most important role in that.

Hope the mirrors will be back soon Wish you many more miles on the RTR!
You are very right & thanks for pointing it...Sad to know even educated people remove these mirrors...
Also some idiots always ride bike with high beam all the time, that too in cities...Same with the car-wala's....
The problem is they risk not only their lives but also other's life by doing so...Atleast I request everyone in this thread to follow these things seriously...
Just like wearing a helmet is important, these things are also to be given equal importance...
Just wearing xbhp tees or talking about bikes doesnt make you a responsible biker. Its your deeds that define you...
I know many persons who rides bike responsibly, but this message is for those brothers & friends who doesn't....
Sorry if I hurted anyone...But its for your as well as other's safety I said so...
      Ride safe & sensibly...

You require them more in cities where too many vehicles or people are there on the roads...
Especially in traffic conditions, you cant always turn back or sidewise to see if any vehicles are behind you...
Please put it brother...It doesnt make your steed look bad...It just adds to the beauty and safety...
Dont take it badly yaar...Whatever, always remember for a sensible rider safety comes first and that safety is not just yours but other's too...
      Ride safe bro....

I waited, waited and waited for bigger RTR. 2 years passed. Gave up my wait, got myself a used CBR 250. Enjoying it, untill RTR grows up. Then will get an RTR again.
PS- My RTR is still with me... Serving me sincerely, giving company to the CBR. Hopefully it wont mind, if I take care of the CBR a bit more.

Long time i have contributed to this thread. Our RTR was at Faridabad for 3 months and now it can be found being ripped on the roads of Chennai by my younger brother. I am now missing that intoxicating exhaust note and the maniac pull it always managed to give!!

                      Hello everyone!

Been a long time since I posted something on this thread. Anyway...

The engine has started to pick the oil along and now the exhaust has some fine blue smoke coming out off it- mostly during cold starts or when revved hard.

Had the oil drained out yesterday and there was some 100-150ml left in the sump which drained out. Was shocked to see the difference within just a period of 1200-1300km and 3 months. Engine overhaul is next in the cards. Also, the cams/timing has started making some ticking noises because there wasn't enough lubrication (as per the local tech).

Need a quick suggestion from you guys now. I am thinking to get Joel's Big-bore kit installed instead of the stock. Should I or should I not? Top priority has always been performance in my books, but reliability is something which equally matters to me. And can anyone give me rough/approx. estimate of all the repair work?

One more thing, what all components are included in Race Concepts' kit?
If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

Just stick to stock mate. You will avoid lots of hassles and extra expenditure. Trust me, I have been through this, no serious problems till now *touchwood* but you tend to lose peace of mind.
