    • 11000km service

      Hey Guy's

Like Kantu, it's time for me too, to give the ride another service.
Now, PSR and Drifty has suggested the things to do already. Thanks for that.
      The following would be attended.

      1. Both disk pads
      2. Brake fluids
      3. Front fork oil, seal and springs too
      4. Swing arm bush
      5. Drive chain and sprockets
      6. Engine oil and oil filter.

Recently i replaced the spark plug and air filter.

Have a plan to go to an outside Mech for this service. Would do, right guy's?
Now, can one buy brake fluid and fork oil from a SVC? How is the brake fluid replaced, like is it drained out or something?

      Waiting for your input guys.
The Apache is ever willing to red line each cog, but the Rider ain't. Enjoy RTR, Safely. Period.

        I have a few doubts:
        • As this spread sheet is editable by anyone with the link, how to protect it if someone, say deletes all content?
        • How to make this link appear on the 1st starting post of this A180 thread so that it is visible anytime?
Yeah, that is one risk. But I have been constantly taking backup of the list. You can also do the same by downloading it. One could have added restrictions, but then log in is required.

          • Serious problem with my menace

Hello everyone, today i changed my bike's oil after completing 500 kms with big bore kit. I m using valvoline champ 20w40. I started reving the bike it went nicely till 80, after that the acceleration was a bit slow and on a stretch of 1 km my bike could reach the max speed of 105 only.. the rpm needle was unable to rev above 8k in the 5th gear. Tyres were correctly inflated, crouch postion was used, the carb has been set by the svc, valves have been changed, oil seals have been changed. Another problem i was facing was that after reving hard when i depressed the clutch the rpm needle came down to 3k and the silencer started to do "phat phat phat" and there was a "phaaat" from the carburettor too..and when i got off the bike, the smell of oil was there all over.

What to do now as i have already spent more than Rs10k on my bike in the last 2 months.

                • guys my fuel got completely over so i filled for 230 bucks(3.002 lit/76.74 per/lt) and the bike is refusing to go above reserve.....the fuel is light is blinking....if 2.5 is reserve then i have .5 lt right...it just went for 10 kms..and the engine got switched off!!!then i had to change to reserve....taking into consideration the unsable reserve.i technically have more than 3 liters right????

Yes,your trusted mech can very well do the above things.Additionally, you can get the tappets adjusted if needed.Keep the clearance as 0.07mm(inlet) and a little lesser than 0.08mm(exhaust),this is the most perfect setting I ve got after fiddling with the tappets 'n' number of times!
You can buy brake fluid and stuff from any TVS svc.For the brake bleeding thingy ,refer this link Brake bleeding.

the tuning had been set thrice by the svc..its nt a tuning issue as the plug is dry chocolate brown. I m thinking of a faulty tps as there are many hicups in the low rpms. And can u plzz confirm tht whats written on ur cylinder head walls...??

Generally these stickers come with the body parts and not separate.

                              • Today my White Devil has completed its one year of riding with me. Yes, last year same day i.e. Children's Day at 1.30pm I took the delivery of my Devil, and today when ODO reads 21700kms with numerous tortures of my riding, added with my pampering my White Devil has never disappointed me, no matter what it be, performance, mileage, speed in every part it has given me what I needed, it gave me a top end when I wanted to outrun some bikes, it gave me the wheelies when I wanted to show off, even it gave me mileage when I was broke... In all it understood me.
Its been not a mere bike for me, but a companion too....
Wishing my White Devil more birthdays like this........
