Guys, in reference to what You said, I have created a google doc online. So anyone can update it whenever anyone buys a new part. I have updated a few on data which I collected from here itself. Do tell Me if some changes are required. Also, there is no need to log in to update. Enjoy!

Also, @ New Guy, Neat Description Dude! And congo on the modifications! Enjoy!

      • Great to see everyone contributing!

In between all this though, New Guy's write-up got all lost. It's commendable the way in which you rode all the way from Mumbai to Bangalore, just to soup-up your ride. One does not meet passionate freaks like you everyday. You deserve a solid thumbs up for this effort mate.

I think we have a spreadsheet ready (thanks Mirhawk). Now, we may all put the expenses on parts there with odo reading likewise.

It's amazing to see that the clutch plates are still intact in bikes which have clocked more than 20k kilometers. I have read only one member's report who mentions clutch plates change. That is remarkable. At 23k, the clutch is doing the job fine in my bike too. By the looks of the things here, it seems nobody has suffered with fried clutches so far.

Conclusions made so far are that TPS and one-way clutch are the only exceptional problems that most of the bikes have suffered from. Other than that it's pretty much obvious to spend on parts like spark plugs, throttle/clutch/choke cables, brake pads/fluids, tires and chain-set etc, over a certain period of ownership.
If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

bro top speed depends on many factors.
tyre pressure, carb tuning( i meant rich/lean), weight of rider/ pillion, fuel quantity, rider skills, type of engine oil, wind flow direction and what not!
i mean there have been times when i could take my bike to 125 easily and then sometimes it struggles to go past 115!
try again when u have a free empty stretch and check the result.u may get a better perspective

I got my clutch plates damaged at 4k kms and the tps at 6k kms and my bike has just completed 8k kms in 7 months.

And have burnt the valves, oil seals, broke the piston, and many other things due to 2 main factors

                  1.k&n with improper tuning
2.Stunting since the day i got my first service done i.e 503 kms

Hi @Abhii, can you please give the cost (and part no. if possible) of the items above in BOLD? We could update it in the "A180-Bike Parts List" spreadsheet

Guys help me out here!.. everyone are saying they r getting 40-45 avg mileage! I am getting only 32-33 !
@rak2410: What tyres do use? Coz, fatter/gripper will reduce mileage. (When I changed my ex-Libero's rear tyre to MRF Moto-D from stock TVS, mileage dropped by 5Kms!)

                    I have a few doubts:
                    • As this spread sheet is editable by anyone with the link, how to protect it if someone, say deletes all content?
                    • How to make this link appear on the 1st starting post of this A180 thread so that it is visible anytime?

The RTR clutch plates can take a lot of abuse, this is what i have read in one of Joel's post!

@Mirhawk:Thanks for the heads up,will check the list tommorrow.
@Garry: Yes,I was about to say google spreadsheet and Mirhawk did it!;-)

@Pranav:There might be some problem with the fuel metering system in the carb, the set up might be lean.Get the carb checked from TVS svc.

                      • Updated a few parts and part numbers I have...

BTW... I've been troubleshooting the hiccups for a while now. Today it reached bone stock condition. And I think I found the issue too. Just need to confirm. Then one by one all mods will be back

                        • Hey guys, just updated the part numbers of some items on that document, it would be really nice is someone could upload pics of those parts.

What is the cost of the front shock absorbers of RTR 180?
My shocks are not up to the mark and i intend to replace them.
Have about 19k kilometers on the odo.

btw, what does a sterring cone kit mean exactly, everytime i go to ASC they ask me to change it, no matter i have a brand new one or an old one.
They blame any problem on that cone kit.

Did anyone of you replace the fork oil, at what km on the ODO did you guys change it?

This is my first bike, when i asked friends for suggestions on which bike, they all said don't go for bajaj or tvs bikes they will fall apart in two years, go for either honda or yamaha.
