    • Guys,
Has anyone gone for a long ride on your 180 till now? How far was it and how was the ride? Did u find any kind of strain on your back?
Young riders pick a destination and go, Old riders pick a direction and go !

Depends on the road and condition!
If it's highway or like that 110-115 kmph is just fine..

And btw, yesterday i overtook a trukie at 118 or 120kmph..he must be doing 110 according to RTR's speedo!..So you get the scene competition is catching up real fast!!
If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

many of em have done long rides and have found no discomfort. The main thing is for you to be comfortable with the bike...

bro, speeds above 110kmph is surely not cruising speed...Im damn sure the engine will be nearing redline by then...speeds of 90-100 is somewhat sane

Rode to Leh Ladakh. 2700 kms in 7 days. No back strain but strain on wrists & palm.

I've done approx 500km rides a couple of times in the last 3 weeks.... Now, the experience depends on the road/traffic conditions, and your riding posture... If you ride sitting upright, arms outstretched (which will be when roads are not good, or traffic is heavy), expect mild shoulder and wrist pain... But if you can tuck in to a racing posture(free open highways like in early morning), though it feels(and looks) awkward, you can walk away without any sort of pains whatsoever.... Also, don full riding gear even if it feels uncomfortable, close the helmet visor - wind can make you dehydrated and tired very fast, though we never realize id...
                Ride safe...

man i dont ask the topspeed,as it is a aircooled engine how it can do a 110+ for a long time

At higher speeds Air flow is also high therefore making a cooler engine atleast cooler than stop and go traffic. and you might be surprised to know that sometimes crusing at speeds of 50KMph causes more heating of engine than at 80-90KMPH or more.
Adding to that all Hero honda bikes AFAIK use 10W30 oil(ofcourse engines have been tuned and reworked according to them) and we all know about the cruising capability of a ZMA at constant 100+ speeds.
After all modern day oil's and engine's are capable of handling that.
NO OFFENCE we all are Xbhpian's.

                    • I am not used to highway riding and hardly visit places..
I think sometime before Manan bhai took his bike somewhere in Himanchal and it was said in the tourer's thread that he was keeping up with the R1! and was cruising at speedo-shown 130kmph..
I was 'cruising' at 110-125 kmph for constant 23 km ..Now if you want to cruise for 100km i don't what should be the speed!
And i don't find the engine stressed at 110 kmph..(Personal opinion, hope you won't fire back on this)

Like abhichotu said, as the airflow is also higher, the engine cools faster than in normal city speeds... And I have personally rode at 100+ for durations more than 20 - 30 mintues and have had no problems yet...
                          So dont worry...

                          • Why are the fairing screws so darn tight? I just got myself a set of HIDs and I can't seem to be able to get the screws to open. Oh yeah can anyone please tell me what rpm does the the ZMA show at 100kmph?

An engine is supposed to be heated and hence, you can't do anything but to save your foot. And don't worry to cruise for speeds above 100 kmph..The bike even gets heated if you ride it in daily traffic for hours..what then? You can't just sit for hours and let it cool..
