The Throttle Switch has been known to fix the after burn issue. Have the SVC change it. Cost approx Rs 120.

        • Replace Stock Tyres

          Hi,

I am looking to replace the stock tyres on my Apache RTR 180. I have used it over 2 years and am looking to replace it with an option which provides more stability, grip and better performance. The stock tyres dont seem to grip properly in water.

The front tyre dimensions are 90/90x17" tubeless
The rear tyre dimensions are 110/80x17" tubeless.

          Any recommendations???

Although I would prefer Pirelli / IRC , you can discuss tyres here
Pirelli don't come in that size (rear), continental tyres can be an option too.

Thanks buddy...it is quite a lot indeed. Reasons being :
                        1. Office commute 40kms to and fro
                        2. Dhabha G2G (when I was regular) 80kms to and fro
                        3. Whenever I am low,bored,angry I go out for a short 200-300km run to Mathura/Agra/Jaipur/Chandigarh
                        4. My girlfriend lives 40kms away

The TVS name for TPS is Throttle Switch
I need to check my compression etc. No, I'm not on the big bore now...

ohke but do tell me the compression ratio or atleast tell me the exact method to measure it using the compression gauge. Today i measured mine at the svc and it was 11. can u plzz tell me the exact method to measure it.

and what is this reason behind such a low top speed.

                              • Dude.... Dont worry about the 159.4 cc written on the side of the Block... It indeed is a RTR160 block, which has been resleeved by Joel.. But it doesnt make any difference if the Big bore was made from a 160cc block or a 180 cc block, cos material wise both are the same...

And The compression ratio after fitting the Big Bore and the FFE should be around 11.5:1, as per Joel.....
