Exactly, thats what i do Best way too teach the road racer's a lesson.
Racing is not about the bike, its the rider.
I have at times smoked pulsar 150's & 180's on my RX100 when i was a college kid (may be those people were doing the same what i do now, & laughed at me when i raced away)

    Ride Safe.

Its your bike, you are the rider, just go & enjoy.
But make sure you dont race on roads(especially Indian roads)

          • Finally brought the red beast - Apache 160 RD 2012

So after much thinking & testing both Apache & Dazzler, i have finally brought the new Apache 160 RD 2012 in Red yesterday from Century TVS, Pune & loved every bit of moment when i brought it home ( still haven't gone above 40 considering break-in/running of engine). As i am relatively new to bikes as i recently upgraded from a Scooty Pep to Apache , Would love to get tips & guidelines on how to maintain the bike till it reaches the 1000km mark, where to get good bike gears like Helmet, gloves & info regarding elbow guards, etc and meet fellow Apachians from Pune.Thanx

This must be because of bent disc plate. It was as if I had a mechanical ABS :P SVC told me to change the plate and it costs 1200. I took it to a mechanic and he smoothened the disc a little using lathe. This solved the problem but I would recommend getting the plate changed if that is the culprit in your case.

                  Hope this helps
The disc plate was changed last month after my accident in Jan, I must get it check ASAP
And about tilting towards left, what alignment are we talking about and how do I find out.

TVS Tyres are crap, even i want to change it.
Just yesterday i was doing around 50-60 kmph & suddenly there came a patch of wet road, my bike fishtailed like crazy.
I had my heart in my throat for those few seconds.

Well If am scaring you, dont worry, its not that big an issue. You will eventually get used to it, and totally forget it after some time.(Like the vibs).
And may be, the 160s dont have that prob. 160 Owners can enlightenus....
Ha ha. I hope it won't affect me. Thanks.

@ALL Can I use Motul 5100 15W50? Will it help in higher revs as I visit 6K-7K RPMs frequently? Is the 50 grade too thick for RTR?
I've been using Shell AX7 for the past 2 times. The oil is great, but seems to lose its magic beyond 7000 RPM.

5100 works great for 6-7k range, but under constant abuse, the oil loses it's charm, that's where the 7100 and 300v comes into the picture, these oil's , can take all the torture you put against them. That's the magic of the FS. But having said that the 5100 should hold up just fine.

                        Cheers

That i'm not sure of, please check the manual, TVS is xW40 grade right ? 300V might come in that grade.

                            Cheers

TVS is 10w30 I was suggested earlier on this page to go in for 15w50 so I think I'll do that.

                              • TVS oil is 10w30.Can we use Honda Throttle FS 10w30 which is recommended for CBR on our RTR?I have read somewhere that FS oil doesn't suit RTR and might lead to oil leakage and clutch slippage.Anyone used this oil?
