Nightbreaker is a 55w bulb no? What is the cost? Is it a direct fit to our plug? I'm also planning for a NB. Just wanna know if I can use it since the stock is only 35w.
Don't matter what it is: Touring; Racing; Commuting. All I know is, I belong on the saddle.

The same Mech. tells me it is the threading has completely worn out & the bolts are not holding in place..
Frequent opening of the head for changing packing etc leads to this... the mechs really dont care, so once or twice overtightening will result in the thread getting stripped. I'm currently suffering from his. The engine head is bleeding oil like crazy, but the oil level in engine is fine (with 3k replacement interval). The fool proof solution is to get it re-threaded (which entail lathe work, so two days is justified), or get a new head (too darn costly). I'm just running it like that, other than a wet and/or dirty engine, no other issues. Also, the re-threading work shouldnt cost you a lot. Check with mulitple SVC / reliable workshops. Good Luck

Better headlight aspirers - anything more than the stock lighting setup will give below par output. Even with a DC electrical system you'd face faster battery discharge. So research well before you put them mods on. There are various threads around here in the forum, even one thats dedicated for RTR180 dc conversion.

Engine mod aspirers - read a LOT LOT LOT about other guys experiences. Properly UNDERSTAND the mods you want to do. And understand that no mods EVER have reliability like stock. Dont simply take the plunge without knowing and suffer like me and MANY others.
My initial stock engine ran strong for 28k. After that I've had to do 5, yes FIVE, engine re-builds - all because I didnt know 100% what was different. For the past 10k (now at odo 68k+), I'm back in bone stock condition. The peace of mind i enjoy now!!
Just a word of caution - its your money after all. Peace!

headlight - Noted & Agreed too, but No Pain no Gain Kuch paane k liye kuch khona bhi padta hia

Engine Mod - well here you go ! That's my only concern, Reliablity, 5 Engine Over hauling is too much, which clearly indicate it needs extra care, the way I need bike in my life its hard to risk it, I was right on part of reliablity & that is the only thing which is keeping me away from modding my bike to 190cc by RC. I am happy with current Bike too & was just thinking if there is no harm then why not ? but lot's of bad experience made me rethink now & finally I am on Stock now...

And When I see the situation here in mumbai TVS service centre I canno't trust them to service my bike after mod, they can't service wego properly forget about RTR.

But the pain should not shadow over the gain. Just think about the risk entailed getting stuck in a desolate rural highway at night with no light/drained battery.

                    Quoting from a different forum - Sportscarforums.com

To make an engine last, you'll need bulkier and heavier components to keep things going. In a race car, you don't want heavy parts. You want everything as light as possible. Because of this, the longevity of the engines isn't all that long before they break. But it also doesn't matter all that much to a racing team because they have tons of money and the know how to put a new engine in just fine where as the normal everyday person does not.
What I've learned from my experience is - "If you want a faster bike, BUY a faster bike"!
(If I had saved the money I spent on TRYING to make my bike faster, I could easily have bought a faster bike now )

Wont the design emphasize on a body part which would be embarrassing IMO

                      • LOL you canno't buy faster bike by just adding 5-6 k , anyways the point is not all about FASTER, did I said Top Speed ?

I was more incline Toward Power, Stablity & Torque.... anway's i am the Menace & enigmatic soul, which alway's look for something

Let's see If I can achieve 138 mark again on my Beast ...

BTW! Forgot to share a horrible experience, while coming from Tour there were 3 Apache, 1 NS , 1 R15 & etc etc etc bike's with us.... on Bangalore highway we tried our best to get to 120 mark but damn! , no bike reached that figure as such on Straight hihgwhay, all were dissapointed in our heart but nobody was expressing thinking bike issue, then I asked every one what a wind attack man bike is not going beyond 115 mark & every one like" Thank God" I though my bike is having issue & all & all... lol seriously for some time I thought that my bike has gone now :/ the one which use to cross 120 easily is struggling after 110 :P

So the Question is having Pillion in those kind a opposite & cross wind time help to gain more top end ?

I too have the exact problem...The oil leak was fixed by tightening the 4 bolts..Now the threads are worn out & oil leaks like crazy..The oil is all over the battery cover, front mud guard, exhaust manifold & almost all my pants .. But even after 7k km of running on the Shell Ultra FS oil, the levels have dropped to the minimum level..I will be leaving my bike for re-threading & an oil change tomorrow..Just out of curiosity, How much will a new Engine Head cost.??
Thank you for the wishes...One should be damn lucky to get a problem fixed by TVS SVC & that too in one shot...

Regarding the Headlight mods:..My personal opinion is to put a 35W HID with a projector..Anything above 35W requires a Relay..
