Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Got the rear tyre changed last week. Bought MRF Zapper C. I could feel the difference as soon as I applied the rear brake for the first time on the new tyre. I can brake quite confidently without having to worry much about the lock up and it's quite ok wet roads as well. I could ride only around 8KM when it rained so still not completely sure about what it can do on wet roads. All I can say it's much better than the stock TVS tyre in the dry and in the wet. It costed me 2050 RS, bought it at the MRF tyre shop next to Bridgestone TVS, Rajajinagar. Couldn't buy the Zapper Vyde unfortunately. But I'm quite happy with the tyre. Will post the photo soon.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
hey guys
Yesterday I changed my air filter with that of a gs 150r for a 10 min. ride.
Differences I felt
1) Vibes are gone even at higher rpms
2) Bike is behaving like a Ktm duke (pocket rocket)
3) Sound had become a little softer
Q. Should I continue use that paper type filter ??

Its actually good that you din't go for Vyde..Few users told me that Vyde was just a rip-off..Originally posted by Prithvi R View PostGot the rear tyre changed last week. Bought MRF Zapper C. Which size did you buy & TT or TL..??
We go on long rides BUT we won't be "taken for a ride"Originally posted by huntphani View PostThen i was the one taken for a ride, I paid 2500 around 6 months back
.. I payed INR2600 for MRF Revz & INR 2100 for Michelin Pilot Sporty.. I have visited many many shops(including the great J.C road) & double checked on "changemytyres" online.. I have never ever seen a rear TL tyre less than INR2300..

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Bro, ditch it. A member here, kantu had used it and found that it was damaging the diaphragm. Stick to the stock air filter.Originally posted by Devesh View Posthey guys

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Good that you stuck to stock size, this must be Dazzler's tyre right? This will anyways be lot better than TVS Srichakras!Originally posted by Prithvi R View PostThe stock size. 110/80 17 Inch and it is TL.
Almost full tank in 3rd pic!Originally posted by Prithvi R View PostIt will soon be 1 year since I started riding. Here are some random photos I took over the past 12 months.

And anyone looking for a good mechanic in Blore, please contact Sohail (9980338707). His garage is located here (B T S Main Rd - Google Maps) Tell him my name if any of you go
I got front fork oil changed today, chain and sprocket set replaced, wheel and sprocket bearings cleaned and greased (It badly needed greasing as it was never opened!). I was there the entire time & he does a good job, quick and efficient. I came to know about him only recently, otherwise would have posted earlier. @vivekgauthams & @huntphani, do pay him a visit once.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Has anybody come across any incident where your front fork oil seal had broken? My fork's seal was broken in January and forgot to post it here then. I remembered this when I read Adarsh bro's post regarding the oil seal. Anyway, I got it fixed at the ASC that day itself. Are there any specific reasons for a broken seal or it just happens once in a while?
PS : I have never tried and probably won't try doing a wheelie.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
AFAIK Shell petrol bunks are open all night.Originally posted by shanky442 View PostHey Guys,
Where can i find a petrol pump which is open all night long in bangalore. or atleast which is open till late at night.
Thanks
Recently I filled petrol around 11-11.30pm in Shell bunk nearby Value Forum Mall. If you are coming from marathalli go straight after the Koondanahalli signal..After some3kms you will find the bunk on your left side.
There is another one past the graphite/ITPL signal.
Moreover Shell guyz dont tamper with the petrol readings, so u get what you pay for.
Also I have noticed petrol price is less than other bunks. i.e. it was 71.85/litre while other bunks where 40paise+ more.
I normally do full tanks so even that small difference will be big.
Never goto Indian Oil bunks. They are 24/7 looters. The one Indian Oil bunk nearby bellandur in outer ring road is kind of ok.
Also one HP petrol bunk nearby Manipal Hospital in HAL Old Airport road is also fine.Last edited by susheelkumar; 05-02-2013, 12:55 PM.---------------------------------------------------------------------------
