Regarding mileage I want to add something. My cousin bought RTR180 few days ago and he got mileage of 56 kmpl for first 500 km. I was surprised because I am getting mileage of 50-55 in my RTR160 (100% city driving). But he has driving of highway and city in ratio of (70:30).
So now I can believe that it can be possible on highway with constant speed.

i could sense these after first service
      pro's
      Mileage on city - 45Km/L before 38.3km/L
Mileage oh highway - 68Km/L before nvr tested.
couldn feel the vibes, maybe i got used to it

      Con's
      Drop in pickup
screech noise in the front disc whenever i apply (ive told the svc guys several times but they just couldn't fix it)

now almost 1K on the ODO ....
For the disc screeching noise, sak for a pressure wash first. Yours is a new baby, so the brakes pads are may be bedding in creating such noise in the event. Try to get a pressure wash, it should clear that noise. I too faced the same problem with my P150, and after a pressure wash and an air jet for drying it up, the brake is working fine, zilch sound.

Highway rides tend to give a higher Fuel Efficiency because of less number of gear shifts and braking. Also, there is a region/zone when our babies just glide, consuming less fuel in the event. The more easy you go on the throttle or brake or hold up a speed, usually 50-70 KMPH, the less fuel is consumed. The explanation might not exactly refer to the phenomenon but its quite close I believe. The engine RPMs don't rise and fall as fast as when in city, so a constant jet of fuel+air mixture is fed, increasing the FE. That's why I love highways, GO-Green + Satisfying biking hunger.

Regrading noise from front disc, ask the svc to get the disc pad re installed after giving them a pressure wash.
        Drop in pickup as in............?
i inquired about it with the svc and they said if you need pick up you will lose mileage and vice versa.
and about the noise in the front brakes ,i have given the bike for pressure wash and still the noise persists :/

        • @Shadowknight Check the color of your spark plug tip to see the level of AFR mixture tuning. If the mechanic is talking about carb tuning and if he has tuned it too lean, it'll be harmful to your engine.

            • To get rid of the squeeing sound from the disc, give the pads a pressure wash DIRECTLY! If it doesn't work for you, then sanding the pads is the option.

              • Has anyone here changed the handlebars to the 'racer' position? If so, are you experiencing any sort of back pain?
Also, do the new RTRs have a less aggressive riding position? I rode a new 180 recently and felt so(the handlebar was in the default position)..

Yes.. I had changed the handlebars to the 'racer' position. Not experiencing any sort of back-pain but I'm experiencing heavy pressure on my shoulders and palm...Especially while cornering... So better to use riding gloves.

i think that would be a big mistake....putting a white light where yellow light seems insufficient ...bad move. i know this because im running white light on mine. i thought of putting in a bi-xenon setup, but dropped the idea a two three months before. but now i am seriously considering it, and would change into that by the end of the month if i get the components needed for my concept
