Thanks bhai, my front is still fine, lets see what happens to these till next track session. I am actually confused between IRC and dazzler's rearOriginally posted by flyingJian View Post
This time it was a deal , 10k for 3 sessions of 20 minutes each, others were 1 and 2 sessions, don't remember the price though. But after having a word with the organiser, they would be doing their own track days and amount would be decided later.Originally posted by abhishekch View Post

hey guys just got my wheels painted white but saw a problem the inner part of the rear disc was painted white completely by the stupid painter, any advice on how to remove it.I tried turpentine didnt work.Should i just leave it as it will probably wear off after few days by using rear disc??Also is it safe for the brake pads since da paint might make it wear out a bit more?

One of the Shoddiest paint job I've ever encountered. Not to blame on the painter, it should have been your responsibility to remove everything & give the bare rims for the paint job, I can see even the tyre mouth sticking around in White now. Anyways, remove the rotor from the wheel, take a normal blade & scratch out all the unwanted paint & then fit it back.Originally posted by jude.manutd View Posthey guys just got my wheels painted white but saw a problem the inner part of the rear disc was painted white completely by the stupid painter, any advice on how to remove it.I tried turpentine didnt work.Should i just leave it as it will probably wear off after few days by using rear disc??
Yes, it is completely safe for the brake pads but definitely not for you when you need the brakes the most.Originally posted by jude.manutd View PostAlso is it safe for the brake pads since da paint might make it wear out a bit more?Whenever there is a Rainbow in the sky, I know it's u mastering the art of Cornering. As harish said, kiran tvs is better than the rest... try your best to build a rapport with the mechanic and talk with him for some time...Originally posted by rakesh_ic View Postcan someone list out good SVC's in hyderabad. I will get my RTR 180 ABS tomorrow.
P.S. Dont even consider giving your bike to Shanthi TVS or MDH Racing.
Guys My Idle RPM is fluctuating a lot, its also not settling down properly, when clutch is pressed, it comes down to 2.5k~ rpm and then slowly to 1.4k rpm... There is no misfiring... Could it be that the bike is running rich?Last edited by saipranav; 04-25-2012, 08:40 PM.Apache 180

My net was not working since a few days. Its hard to keep a tab on the thread now..
The carb diaphragm rubber is not just any other rubber, its a special type of rubber, hence the higher cost.Originally posted by lijok View Postyeah.. I was shocked to learn that that small rubber part costs so much!!
@Royalapache - why are you changing the diaphragm ?? Any specific issues?
Replace it if punctured. The diaphragm,if not properly sealed over the top carb cover makes a hell lotsa difference in performance.Even a slight leak bring down the 'racing throttle response' of the bike..
.Experienced it many times. The diaphragm on my carb did not fit properly over the edges so I sticked it up with a Threebond rubber based sealant.
More details here- Carb diaphragms
Replied it over pm.Originally posted by saipranav View PostGuys My Idle RPM is fluctuating a lot, its also not settling down properly, when clutch is pressed, it comes down to 2.5k~ rpm and then slowly to 1.4k rpm... There is no misfiring... Could it be that the bike is running rich?

Valve clearance setting can be a probability, but since the bike is very smooth and the tappets are not making any kind of noise even after 18kms of ripping made me feel they are not the culprit...Originally posted by Drifty View PostReplied it over pm.
Do, you think i should still check them? Or go ahead with AFR tuning?Apache 180

The Pre-monsoon rains are here (alteast in Bangalore
) and had a tough time slipping and sliding around today in the almost-bald SriChakra. I will be swapping it for MRF Vyde 120 (Rs 2700) for rear and Zapper FS (Rs 1800) for the front. Anyone's had any issues with these tires on the 180 RTR?

I've heard good things about MRF Vyde 120.Originally posted by nisnth View PostThe Pre-monsoon rains are here (alteast in Bangalore

Quote:"I've used Zapper C and Zapper Vyde. Zapper Vyde has better grip than C in wet, although in dry they're similar."
Quote:"I put Zapper Vyde in my RTR 180 and it sticks like glue and looks good too."
Quote:"Zapper Vyde is the best tyre MRF makes"
So I guess you should go for it.
Also I'll be changing my tyre to Vyde sometimes later so your review will be helpful to me
ps: I thought the price of Vyde is 2300/-
