        Naah, we're reading.
Naah bro, nothing to be worry about. Its common in all Apaches' speedos. So no need to change it off. How many time will you replace it? I happens almost on every random RTR speedo

P.S. It happened to me only once and that too when I touched 131 on my ride D As soon as I reached my college, I checked the Top Speed Register and darn! it was 160. I resetted it after coming back home and got 130 in the register the very next morning. Though I've done 137 earlier on my friend's A180
Damn! Thats quite a long P.S.

This is how I see it... Its made by TVS on purpose So that you are never satisfied with just one Top Speed sprint . It resets/shows 160 so that you try again, break your own record! Just like Garry did it

But I think, what he asked was why do we have to wait for 10-12K kms. before switching to FS oils, not the advantages of FS/SS oils . Isn't it Nishanth? Anyways, if I am right then here is the answer.
As Drifty already mentioned, SS and FS oils stick to the walls better, providing better lubrication to the mating parts and hence less wear and tear. Now if we start using FS oils right from the beginning, the engine parts won't get scratched up/mate correctly. Thats what we call in local language "piston rawa nahi hoga theek se". Thats why we use mineral oils initially so as to let the moving parts' walls can chip-out the metal better. Also, the other reason you can guess yourself is that initially there's lot of chipped metal in the oil inside the circulating engine oil. So, we need to change the engine oil more frequently to get rid of them. Hence, using the oils with lesser drainage period.
I got it now! Thanks @Garry

Last week was full of problems. First the battery low indicator switched on. It was a very busy week so could not take it to the mech. Next day lights and horn sound was very low. again no time to get it checked. Finally one evening, I started feeling jerks which usually occur when fuel is over.
Bike stalled and refused to start. Luckily was near the mechs place. So pushed it there. he checked the output current which was low < 12 A. He said the stator is not charging properly and will have to be checked separately. Told me to bring my old stator so that i can run on stock system till he figures it out.
Since he was closing up left the bike there and collected it next day.
However he told me next day that the connection between the charging coil and battery had become loose due to vibes may be. He soldered it again and the DC set up was fine.

                        • What are the signs of a faulty carb.

                          Hi Everyone,

I have been facing the jerk and high idling issues since the last 2 months.

Firstly, i was told that the tapets are the issue got them adjusted, no good

secondly changed choke and accelerator cable but still no good.

Thirdly got the tps disconnected and voila the problem was solved, but the jerks still exist.

When after a long ride i get off my bike there is a very strong smell from the exhaust , its similar to the smell of burnt oil.

I got the carb cleaned 2 times , then atleast 20 mech's tried to tune it but it couldnt be solved

the jerks are at 9km rpm and the bike is just not goinig above 10k rpm 3rd gear onwards. Im loosing races to a rtr 160 HE.

So i wanted to knw if this is a carb problem or something related to TCI or coils.

I also would apreciate is someone could tell what are the signs of a worn out chain set. Mine dosent make noice but may be it is leading to the performance loss.

P.S- Got the engine head back from joel, the bike revs super freely, but cant comment more on it as the mech did not do a good job and today my bike started to leak compression from the engine head area.THe exhaust will come soon Will post a detailed review with videos once everything is done. BTW anyone intrested in seeing a short video of the ported head..??

Is your bike running lean? Check the spark plug
I too had jerking above 9K after the mods. Up-jetting solved it mostly but vibes still remain.
