Guys i have some queries regarding my bull ,
1) The Kicker tends to hit back with some sort of sound(sometimes)- I follow the same method as said by @biker_bala
2) mileage - It used to give 38 in city now from a couple of months it gives only 28-29 I get my bike serviced frequently when i mention the mileage has been dropped the svc guys say that they have tuned and yes the mileage increases upto 35 but only for around 250kms or so. I use Shell normal . I calculate mileage using reserve to reserve method.
3) My thump changes( i use a goldenstar by sans inc) morning or sometimes in the evening . It strong beat changes to a small beat .

Suggest me a good polish i use waxpol but it not so good. The water marks tends to stay even after i use the polish. Suggest a good polish which is easy to use . I remember i had used a polish which was quiet thick and it took a lot of energy to rub it off.

It could be that the svc folks arent paying any attention to ur bull,,, Do you give your bike to the RE service center? Most of the re svc do a shoddy job.. try giving it to a good mechanic.
The low mileage and less thump could be because of wrongly tuned carb. Take it to a good bull mech and ask him to set it on a lean setting...
As far as the wax pol is concerned even i used to work like an ass polishing..
Try turtle wax. Its pretty easy to apply and buff. The shine stays longer too. I also tried liquid polish for a while but reverted back to turtle. I baught it for 260 bucks.. had a heartburn when i found this the next day...

Query regarding waiting period

hi all,
at last i booked my dream bike TBTS in last december at RE store in erragadda, hyderabad.

They gave me a waiting period of 6 months and i'm expecting my delivery by this june. But off late i have been hearing a lot about RE stores delaying the delivery further more than the mentioned time. So TBTS owners, especially from hyderabad... can u please tell me what was ur waiting period and whether u got ur bike within the period or got delayed.

dis is my first post in xbhp. i've booked an re tbts thunderbird in oct 11 at erragadda showroom hyderabad, expecting it in mar 12, but it seems that i might have to wait a further 2 months

apparently dis is d case for all bikes........ jst checked that classic has 14 month waiting period ! IMO even cafe racer mayb launched by that time!

OMG !! thats bad. dude.. just eat their brains and pester them to deliver it by the promised time... dimaag khaao unke !!! in december, classic (desert storm) had a waiting period of 5 months. i went to the showroom a couple of days back and that fellow was highly confident abt delivering mine in june.. well, they r well trained in these aspects

Went to a Bullet mechanic got the carb tuned, still need to check the mileage and after he tuned the carb i noticed that the pick up had increased a bit. And Btw when the mechanic was reving the engine i noticed that my bike refused to rev after 4.5k rpm(Like fuel was limited or something). The bike should rev atleast till the redline right ? And thanks for the link regarding the polish have ordered it expecting it to arrive in 2 days. And guys has anyone of you tried the bullet service in KR road (not the one from royal enfield)?

Guys shoot a mail to [email protected] and [email protected] asking if the delivery is confirmed in the promised month. They will take good care to give you the bike in the promised month. If they delay, use these two mail ids. These guys are pretty good with customer care once you start mailing.

@rharish90 thanks a lot! not so sure about royal enfield customer care though....... dose guys took 4 days 2 answer me d last time i mailed them.

@loner desert storm has lower waiting period??? dats real news to me! anyway, hope urs gets delivered on time

been tryin a bit 4m my end...... my frnd also got a tbts recently from this very showroom, so we got to know the guy in charge a bit.... keepin my fingers crossed though

guys, anyone has any info about when enfield apparel will b launched ?? somehow i jst cant think of bikin gear being sold at dat dinky showroom at erragadda. i mailed enfield abt tbts 500 and apparel, bt they only replied that info will b given in media only n totally ignored about apparel.

According to the Showroom guys the Thunderbird 500 will be launched around june/july with a price tag of around 1.8lkhs(On-road bangalore). Regarding the apparel one of the showrooms here(bangalore) have a couple of t-shirts , jackets , pullover & a Bag( laptop).

went to the showroom today, desert storm has 6 months waiting which is the least among the lot. y dude ? r u planning for a desert storm ?? classic 350 has 11 month waiting

and my bike will be delayed for app' 1 month

what was the waiting period for ur friend's tbts ? did he get it on time ?

@Loner my frnd got his around last september. at that time they didnt even give expected delivery date. he had to wait 4-5 months i think.

not plannin for anything other than tbts, mainly cuz all other bikes r way too small for me....... im 6'2'', so my knees come to rest above height of the petrol tank. tbts is d exception. was a bit interested in d tbts 500, bt den got to know that dey're givin fuel injection without oxygen sensor.... dunno how true dat info is....... showroom guys dont help either

neway its askin price is a bit high for me

wasnt originally interested in enfields at all........ i dont fancy their dub-dub sound much!

bt den jst happenned to take a test ride on classic 500 and i was floored!

Info on modification

Guys I need some from info from you. About 2 months ago, on the way back from a long ride I met with an accident with my TBTS which left my left leg fractured and tore the left knee PCL ligament. Now I am finally out of bed and hopefully will be able to ride again within a month. I won't go into details but I think the accident happened mostly because of the braking power discrepancy between the front disk and rear drum. Now I want to upgrade to a rear disk brake and a wider rear tyre. Can anyone help me with the info that where I can get such a job done in Hyderabad ? The online store (www.royalenfieldzone.com) is quoting the price of rear disk brake unit at around rs 9000. Is this price reasonable ? What would be the expected pricetag of the complete upgrade ?? I am not planning to go beyond 110/90 size rear tire.

dude, even i was thinking about going for a rear disc after i get mine delivered (still loooong way to go) . i'll enquire in ramkote and also my mechanic and will update u soon.. get well soon
