does the engine work when silencer is immersed,
if it doesn't then how does a TBTS crosses water streams
    (dont say rider pulls it).
    Hello Hiteshjain6188.

It is polite to thank someone who has taken time to reply to your post

When I say the silencer gets immersed, its not the whole silencer. its the end part of it. And that too only if the water lever is that high. You should take a tape and measure from ground to the silencer to see how deep you need to go to get the silencer fully immersed.

As a thumb rule, when the silencer is immersed in water and you are riding, there is only one way to it. Keep the throttle open in 1st or 2nd gear and keep moving.

Yes the rider will need to pull the bull if you get stuck in the middle of the stream. But if you are asking will water enter the engine through the silencer. There is no chance. Gravity plays its part. Unless you go deep diving with your bull

      • Doubt

        Hi,

Recently my Bird faced a puncture when an almost 1 inch nail went through it, i went for a trekking spot where this hapenned . A bullet mechanic (he claims so) took the tyre out and put a patch on the damaged area of the tube and said it done...i dont feel any problems, but is it fine or should i change the tube?...is it possible to change tyre into a tubeless one?
        Sorry if i was lame

One more thing, when i keep my bike for a long in sun...it starts normal but after i ride like half a KM it behaves like theres no petrol and stops...then i need to kick it like 4-5 times wait till it idles and then it rides normal...it happens only when i keep it sun and it happens only once...any suggestions?

            • Guys I have a rather messy issue. I use clean gear oil and a oiler can to lubricate the chain of my birdy. But after a painstaking weekend of cleaning and lubricating my baby, nearly after two days of ride, the oil from the chain gets sprayed on the rear rim and silencer pipe, which attracts dirt and the next weekend the entire rearside of the bike looks horrible. Moreover the stupid service center guys used black used ungine oil to lubricate the chain and now no matter how much I try to wipe off the tar like deposits off the chain and re-lubricate with clean gear oil, within a few days, the tar-like stuff again comes out and makes my rear rim and silencer a greasey mess. I am quite literally running out of rags to clean out the grease here. Do you guys have this problem ? If yes then how do you keep your rear rim shiny ??

Hi anindyameister - Can we do it by myself? Is it plug and play? Do I have go to the mechanic?

Of course you can. I will describe the steps-

IMPORTANT NOTE- Never touch the quartz glass of the halogen bulbs by bare hand. Always handle them by holding the pins.

                  1. Make sure your bulb socket type is HS1 or H4.

                  2. Open the screw at the bottom of the headlight with the screwdriver from the toolbox.

                  3. Use the screwdriver as a lever to open the headlight casing.

                  4. Disconnect the headlamp and pilot lamp from the connector inside and take out the reflector, glass, bulb assembly.

                  5. remove the headlamp socket just by pulling it and then remove the rubber cap.

                  6. A spring lever is pushing the lamp down in the seating. Press and release the lever.

                  7. Pull out the old lamp while holding the pin and properly store it.

                  8. take hold of the new lamp by the pins and properly seat them in the holder. the holder has protrusions and it only fits if you place it correct. You can't go wrong with it.

                  9. Push down the spring lever and fix it to the hook so the bulb seats tight.

                  10. Place the rubber cap and reconnect the H4 socket to the new bulb.

                  11. Reconnect the lamp connector to the socket in the headlamp casing.

                  12. Align the screw holes and press the reflector assembly into place.

                  13. Tighten the screw and check if the headlamp comes on.

Overall apply common sense and you will be good to go.

                    Hi,

Not sure whether the oiler can is fixed with the TB to provide continuous lubrication. If not, then try out this option:

Lubricate the chain and then put the vehicle on the middle stand.
Try to roll the chain my moving the rear wheel. During the rotation of the rear wheel, keep a piece of cotton on the chain loosely attached to take out the excess amount of oil that gets sprayed. Make sure you hold the cotton loosely, otherwise a tight hold might rollback the lubrication.

Let me knw if it works or not.

Oh man you thought of some cool thing. By oiler i meant the handheld red oiler cans with a nozzle. I use it after washing and drying my birdy completely manually.

                          Hey Buddy,

Congrats on your new bike. Usually, I keep the rpm in between 3-4k rpm for optimum use and have confirmed from many other bulleteer that this is the optimum one, though in cases, I have raised it till 6K Rpm.

After 2000kms, I can say that the comfort zone for cruising is 65-85 kmph as above 85 kmph, the bird starts vibrating. I am referring to the TBTS UCE I am having.

                          Happy cruising.

Keep the rpm between 2-3k(max 3k). Keep changing the gears frequently. I feel the bike is at its best around 80-95km/hr. Read the manual to do the run-in rather than keeping the bike within 60km/hr for 1k kms. Kick start the bike as much as possible don't use Electric start unless its necessary.
