Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Owners Experiences
Hi guys. I finished 9500 kms (8months) till now, and have an issue with the fuel gauge in the meter. It is not showing anything, or it just blinks the reserve light even on tank full. I have complained regarding this to the SVC and they just keep telling me to come later, as there is no stock.
Also, now I have started noticing that the horn button not responding for short bursts in traffic. Is that issue faced by anyone.
I also wanted to upgrade the brake lines to steel braided ones. Anyone using these on the tb350
Thanks in advance.

Is the low battery icon blinking?
It could be console issue, but since horn is also having trouble I am guessing it's because of lack of electricity.
Do post the resolution once you get it fixed.
Cheers.

Can this problem be solved by adjusting shock absorbers?Originally posted by amey87 View PostYes please. Did a 150 km trip to amboli yest night. Having sore butt till now 😢

Shock absorbers are adjustable for TB, right?
I am facing similar problem. Shock absorbers seem too hard.
Can it be done at home on our own?

Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Owners Experiences
It can be done at home but you will need a different spanner, specialized tool to adjust shock absorbers. Take it to any local service centre, its a 5 min job to adjust the shock abs.Originally posted by Abhishek Mirajkar View PostCan this problem be solved by adjusting shock absorbers?

Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Owners Experiences
My friend faced the faulty fuel gauge issue (owns TB 500) and got the whole console replaced under warranty. If your bike is under warranty, you can do the same.Originally posted by bobby_wish59 View PostNo mate. Console is fine. Horn works intermittent and fuel gauge is blank!

My Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 - Flicker Black
#Royal #enfield #thunderbird #350
Hello friends, after a waiting period of 2 and a half months, finally got my bike delivered this week. I wanted either Flicker or Twilight as I really wasn't impressed with the new colors. While booking in July, the showroom guy (Shri Krishna Automobiles, Nagpur) had said he'll try for these colors and gave me a 80 % chance, as some pieces were still being manufactured to complete pending orders.. However, after about 45 days, he called up and said Flicker is no longer available with RE as the last 'piece' of Flicker was sold last week and the color has been now permanently discontinued. I was aghast and after lots of pondering, decided halfheartedly to go for Lightning. He said he'll need another 10 days to get it delivered and that I could have already got the bike by then if I'd booked Lightning right at the start.
I was very dissapointed and really not convinced and next day, decided to speak to the higher authorities and called up their factory customer care, and also sent a couple of mails explaining the situation. They gave me the number of the Area Sales Manager/ASM (Aurangabad). Called him up that day. Very surprisingly and unexpectedly, he turned out to be a very good guy. He was very helpful, listened to my problem patiently and broke this great news to me: That RE are relaunching Flicker and deliveries will start from Oct. I requested him to make sure that I be given my bike among the first lot.
I called up the showroom guy and he had no idea that the color was being relaunched (ASM had told me that he'll be sending mails to the showrooms in the next 2 days). I requested the showroom guy to follow the developments and keep me informed.
7 days later, on 23rd Sept, I got 'THE' call. I was told a Flicker black has been allotted to me and will be arriving in 3-4 days. I was called and asked to complete payment and other formalities. On repeated pestering, the showroom manager said that the ASM had called them and he was instrumental in the bike being allotted to me this early. I felt really good about my decision back then to speak to ASM.
Finally, on 30th, my bull was handed over to me. That feeling cannot be explained in words. Completed 100 kms on the Day 1 itself. Completely within the speed limit of 40-50 kms and with a good 10-15 mins break after every 30-45 mins so that the engine doesn't get overheated.
It's been 13 days now and I am totally loving the bike. Just can't get enough of it.
Attaching some pics.
From my 13 days of riding, I can say that the bike is really sturdy. It is very comfortable (regardless of what your height and weight is!
The turning radius is unexpectedly very less and benefits a lot when taking U-turns in traffic. No problems faced as of now.
Right from the day I booked the bike, xBHP has been like a boon to me. Have read almost every single post on this page regarding Thunderbird and other Enfield bikes and the information has been of immense help to me. I'll be happy to help if anyone needs any.Last edited by Sridhar Reddy; 10-24-2014, 05:24 PM.
