Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Owners Experiences
Heating of disk takes places while applying the brakes. Just to see if the brake pads aren't touching the wheel, put the bike on centre stand and rotate both wheels to check if they are rotating freely or not. If there is resistance from the brake pads, you will have to open the caliper and see if the piston are out or not.Originally posted by Sharrrrrrad View Post

Thank you for a quick reply friend.
I have completed around 650kms on my bike so far. I do feel some amount of resistance while rotating rear wheel. Showed it at ASC, they said it's normal. I will ask them to check for contact in my next visit. Right now I am leaving for a 150km spin. Let me check the magnitude of this problem.

Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Owners Experiences
I was told by the service mechanic that the rear wheel will have some resistance.I think its true too because the chain has to rotate and the front sprocket has to rotate too..

My TBird has completed 490+kms. I have already booked an appointment for first service. But, I could get appointment only for 1st Nov. I will be using my bike for a week more before service.
So, as per running in period, can I start riding bike at 80kmph now? Or should I stick to 60kmph till first servicing?
Stick to running in speeds as your bike still has the old oil in it. Rip only after oil change and even then control your wrist till at least 3k kms for best results.

Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Owners Experiences
Hey Guys,
I Planning to buy some riding gear for myself which should suit my bird also, I Currently have a leather jack (Which got screwed due to rain) & a Studds ninja helmet. I'm Planning to upgrade it to Zeus Mesh Jacket or the Spartan one. Helmet I'm planing for SOL 68S or the MT. My Budget is 6k for the Jacket & 5k for the helmet. Please post your views. There ain't no devil, ther'e just God when he's drunk.

instead of mesh pick up textile/cordura jacket. will protect from rain + more safety then mesh + more cooler than leather.Originally posted by jayanth_b_p View PostHey Guys,

helmet : loads of shops in bangalore. do window shopping. buy the one that fits your perfectly. an expensive helmet that does not fit well may be fatal than the fall itself."A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel."
