It's actually very simple. The problem is maximum don't follow it & go with the SC setting which is done with the motive, "usska hai, mera kya!!"

1. Tune the stock carburetor with lowest RPM. Ideal will be 8k-10k cold engine. 10k-11k hot engine. Fuel screw will be 3 full & half rotation from closed position. You can go for another half rotation if the engine stalls. Total 4 full rotation.

2. CRITICAL PART. TPS SWITCH. below your seat left side there is switch like device which starts its action on 30%-40% of your throttle rotation. It dramatically changes the spark timing as the higher speed requirement. To adjust this, stop the engine, rotate and hold the throttle, see the TPS is engaged or not. If TPS is engaged than adjust it till you see the last mark at the end of the leaver attached with the cable. There should be a yellow mark or a simple mark to identify the end. Throttle full engaged, saw the mark, HANDS OFF.

If you adjusted everything RIGHT, the bike should easily reach 90 when speed up. Yes 90 kmph, not 80 kmph . A little throttle, and you can reach 120 kmph (maximum by company recommend). But I will NEVER suggest you to do that.

After all you will realise that your engine is stable and HAPPY 😊 😊.

1) I think you meant 800-1,000 ideal rpm i.e. 0.8k-1k. Likewise for hot engine 1k-1.1k

As for 2 I will give it a try and tell you soon.

Thanks buddy

ponbaarathi, brother it SURELY gives you better millage (40-43), pickup, better engine ideal.

SORRY, missed a point. If the settings of carburettor is perfect or near perfect than after 3-5km running if you TOUCH below the carburettor metal part(where a black pipe is attached & goes down connecting nothing), it should be COLD ❄. If its WORM or HOT the carburettor needs SERIOUS attention.

• New exhaust for TBTS 350(2014/12000km old)

Hi all,

I have been thinking for the last couple of days to change my TBTS's stock exhaust with aftermarket exhaust. I have been thinking about wild boar, goldstar(if available in Guwahati). Now my question to the veteran people of this group is-
1. whether it will affect my engine on the long run?(say 5-10 years)
2. What do I have to keep in mind while buying after market exhaust?
3. What will be the good choice?(I need deep base like sound like thunder rumbling type).

Also what will be the consequences of changing my stock handle bar to a straight handle bar?(Thinking about doing that also;but not made up mind yet)

Thanks,

Ritabroto

I've heard; Any bike goes faster if it breathes well and releases the gases efficiently. For this, one can buy a free flow air filter like K&N and swap it with the stock filter. Just fitting this air filter won't help. Get a good after market silencer to match the outflow of gases. You can also get the muffler of stock silencer removed to get the job done. This is the basic and cheap way to slightly increase the top speed and performance say by around 10%-15%.

If you have time and access to good mechanic, you can play with piston head-head gaskets- downing the barrels or even making custom pistons and can shafts to improve compression ratio. Doing these things really transforms the bike into a beast and I have seen some 350 REs reach the 150 km/h mark(GPS speed).

Thats Engine flush. Used to extract all the slags or black deposits that a worm engine oil can't drain along with it. IT REALLY WORKS. price is 399.00 for 400ml & I used 200ml,i.e. half of the bottle. The next use will be in 20000 KM. RELAX, I will change my engine oil next time on 15000km.

New oil filter (from 2 different angles). While installing you need to soak the oil filter in the engine oil and install it along with provided "O" rings.

Improve the compression and the bhp will improve. But it needs serious Mech work and proper understanding of what needs to be done. Only a few of them in India with experience and expertise of manufacturing high quality parts

See, the stock is GOOD. Any mod with the engine and it will not be in stable conditions for long term & I mean not even a year.

Where stock engine will give you minimum 10 year IF properly taken care of.

These free flow air filter & silencer doesn't improve the engine performance DRAMATICALLY. You may notice a CHANGE but not that extent. It's RE. Love😍 it, maintain it and it will be with you FOREVER.
