Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Owners Experiences
I am using tyresecure sealant. Got it filled from the ASC . Had faced a puncture issue twice in rear tyre. I just had to remove the nails that had penetrated the tyre surface and refill air. The sealant would seal the hole as soon as we removed the nail. The sealant stays for all life of the tyre. I guess it might be useless if there are multiple punctures at a same spot.Hope to not face such an issue though.😉Originally posted by Funrider View Post

How about the combination of alloys and tubeless tyres. When weighed I found the alloys heavier. People say they crack. Would it still crack of it does not go into potholes. Majority of the RE's I see on the road have alloys and tubeless tyres nowadays. With tubeless in case of leaks the rear wheel need not be removed saving the hassles of the rear disc fitment.

The combination is great.Alloys dont crack easily. The only limitations u have is you can't go off-roading.plus once cracked it gets hard to rectify.Originally posted by SidharthaN View PostHow about the combination of alloys and tubeless tyres. This combination looks good but once you go off roading than things become dicey. If it is for city commute that you can definitely try it.Originally posted by SidharthaN View PostHow about the combination of alloys and tubeless tyres. I have 2 Studds Panniers fitted on the TB for the last 1 year. They are pretty strong and sturdy and useful at the same time. The nuts which hold it to the frame tend to get loose unless tightly fitted.Originally posted by amey87 View PostGuys, deviating from above topics any idea about using a pannier?? Like the studds cruiser?? Anyone has it fitted?? Pros & cons please do share. Ty

Cons is managing not to get it scratched in traffic and at the SC. You will find morons everywhere trying to kiss your bike's a@#$ and scratching the panniers. You will have to hold your patience in traffic to avoid them. Also depends what you would want to load in them. For my trips I generally carry a backpack tied to the rear seat and have my spares and other utilities in the panniers.
Btw I am planning to sell them since have a LC and want to move to LC Boxes setup !

Hi All,
Happy Weekend and ride safe.
I was planning to upgrade my headlight in Thunderbird, though RE have given projector but i feel it lack the illumination while you hit non illuminated road.
I dont know if other proud owner of TB agree with me. but i did some research and shortlisted osram night racer plus. For low beam but cannot find something decent for high beam.
So open suggestion and advice are welcome.Miles Munching

If you haven't found a solution..Originally posted by Vikram Vijaykumar View PostHey guys I own a 2014 tbts 350. My bikes warranty is over and I want to know, has anybody faced problems with their bikes console. My bikes consoles hazard button doesn't work at all the other two buttons work okay. Has anybody opened up their bikes console and had luck with fixing the buttons. Since RE has launched Himalayan can we port the console and wind shield of Himalayan to Thunderbird
Go to a reliable mechanic. Remove the speedo assembly and disassemble it. The rubber stalk from the outer switch will have moved from its position..I had the same problem with my tbts500. Hope it helps
