    other than that
    1. The longer you wait, the more there may be news of new models coming out and eventually you end up waiting so long that the prices go up and everyone else around you has one (I waited 2 yrs in same way)
    2. REs are not too well known for reliability. But the new ones have longer warranty period and recently RE have started their own RSA so, its gonna take care of things if you ever get stranded. on case of RE a stitch in time really saves nine! (proactive checks will ensure it never leaves you stuck anywhere)
    3. Prices in certain city will be exactly equal at all dealers, thats how RE is here atleast in HYD. they all will have the exact equal quote!.
    4. Stock exhaust of TBTS is not loud at all. Its conveniently muffled.
    5. Ground clearance will make you proud in the roughest of terrain, at times even with pillion and luggage!.
    6. Going by the manual run in period is up to the first 2 services which comes to 3k Kms. You can follow the Moto Manual to the T and ensure smooth life of engine. TBTS has a Tacho so you can also monitor and keep Revs under limit other than the speed as mentioned in manual.

    Happy Prospective ownership!
Believe me I've tried to change his mind by telling him scary ownership experiences my friends have had but he doesn't seem to pay attention at all.

Thanks a lot for all the replies in the thread. You guys are great!

I wish you all many happy miles on your machines.

    Cheers!

For Pt#1. Licence copy is needed while issuing insurance. As they have gone ahead and given you the insurance, you can hold them to their word and get your claim settled. as you said surveyor has already begun his task, Him And Whoever He Coordinates with, are the best resource to know whether or not are their any hindrances in getting the claim settled and whether or not is there anything that you can do to ensure the claim is settled in your favour.

Good luck mate, I sure hope your claim is settled hassle free! If you find the bike that would really be even more nice !
I am keeping my fingers crossed. But as of now untill and unless I am receiving the proposed amount mentioned in the insurance policy I will be tensed plus everyone is telling that Bajaj Allianz is not a good company. Is that true? Do any of the member here know someone personally from Bajaj Allianz? If yes then please help. I will also put this question in the 'Help Me' forum.
Any idea about how long will it take for the claim settlement? Because without a motorcycle I am practically confined to my room & my daily life is becoming utter boring due to this Home-Office-Home schedule.

If your brother is serious then don't bother to change his mind because he won't. I was smitten with RE and such was the power that I bought a TBTS 350 without any idea about how to ride. One of my friend went with me to take the delivery. Since I didn't have a helmet, I couldn't even ride pillion. So I had to take bus. Another friend gave me the lesson of riding & after 6/7 try I finally learned how to ride.
So if he is really into RE then he will only stop after buying one.

One more thing to I want to add is this bike is heavy as all enfields are. Its a chore starting it and driving it because of its weight. Short city runs may be a bigger task. It's like maintaining a car.

Hey guys has anybody installed custom handlebars and seats on your tbts. Any pictures would be welcome. My tailbone tends to hurt a bit if I don't position my bum in the middle of the curve of the seat. Has anybody experienced this

Indeed it is this car like presence on the road of the Thunderbird that's one of the reasons he likes it so much. I'll try for him to get a test ride to see if he can manage the weight while riding in the city.

              Thanks again!

Got My Beast on 9th February 2016.Since then i am in love with her.The wait for almost a month was finally over.Had researched for almost 6 months on every blog and websites including xbhp. This being my second bike after using Bajaj Pulsar 150 DTSI first variant , The feel was somewhat very different.Purchased my Beast from Hridaan Enfield ,Pimpri Chinchwad,Pune.Got it delivered on 9th feb at 4.20 pm.Had Gone there ready with all the PDI documents i collected on Xbhp.Did the PDI myself found all in order and just set off on my RE.

Well its almost 6 months now and 6000 km of riding since i have got her thought of writing down a review of the bike.

The bike is heavy, damn heavy. I on the first time was afraid to ride in the beginning but once i sat on it, seemed light to handle. The seat is well cushioned to give you maximum comfort. The seating position is like a typical cruiser. The front set foot pegs and handlebars offers a very relaxed riding position.

Hey guys! I know this is not the relevant thread but as the classic and tb share the same engine i am posting this here. My friend owns a classic 350 which was stored for a year. Now he has started riding it after a regular service. But the problem is whenever the throttle is opened, it jerks and then pulls along. Checked the afr, adjusted it but no improvements. What might be the issue here? Anybody faced this issue??

Hello guys. New TB owner here. I got the delivery yesterday. Today morning I self-started the bike and it started. (tried kick start several times but it wasnt starting)

But when I switched off the kill switch the engine wouldn't stop. Unkeyed the bike and it didnt stop. Put it into gear and released the clutch and it still wouldnt shut off. After five minutes I pressed the key hard and it switched off. And I couldn't start the bike after that. What could be the problem?

Also, could you guys suggest me some reading material for me to understand the different parts of the bike, the workings and maintenance tips. Or would you tell the obvious "Read the ****ing manual"?

Hi there, Does the button in concern Click In and Out properly when you operate it? If yes then Before opening the console, you may have some luck trying to look at the wiring diagrams and looking for broken/open/short contacts with the associated circuit as well as a faulty flasher unit.

I have never tried opening the console, but have had loose connectors and faulty flasher (i dont know the exact name, but I hope you understand what i mean) unit giving similar trouble on another bike.
Hello there. Yes the concerned button doesn't click in and out like the other buttons. I had shown it to my SA long back a year ago and he just pressed it real hard and it worked but when I try pressing it hard it doesn't work at all.

I say take your bike to the showroom and get it checked immediately. Have you done PDI before taking delivery of your bike?
